II. Rationale

The Department of Education (DepEd) issues an Updated Guidelines on Delivery,

Inspection, Acceptance, and Recoding of DepEd Procured Assets known as DepEd Order
No. 042 s. 2018.Basically, this policy aims to ensure effective, transparent, efficient and standard
implementation of processes and procedures on the delivery, inspection, acceptance and
recording of all Assets received.

Just recently, the Information and Communications Technology Service (ICTS) of DepEd
Central Office announces the deployment of DCP 2018 IT Packages and Equipment intended for
Senior High Schools. With DO No. 042 s. 2018, the DCP recipient schools will be guided on what
to do as their respective ROLES, DUTIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES are being defined. Thus
making sure that the DCP packages distributed to the recipient Schools will be fully maximized
solely for instruction NOT for administrative use.

So this one day conference is proposed to be conducted to orient, prepare and remind the
School Heads, Property Custodians and School ICT Coordinators of their roles, responsibilities
and accountabilities when receiving DepEd procured IT packages/equipment.
At the end of the one-day conference, it is expected that the following will be achieved:

Objectives:

1. To gain understanding on the Guidelines for the Deployment of DCP

2018 IT Packages and IT Equipment for Senior High Schools with ICT
track.
2. To pre-validate each Senior High School Computer Laboratory
Readiness.
3. To reinforce the knowledge in providing technical assistance/support
to schools needing immediate Warranty Services from the Supplier.

Expected Final Outcome/Success Indicator:

1. Competent District ICT Coordinators
2. 100 % deployment of Senior High School DCP IT Packages/ Equipment
3. Maximum utilization of the deployed DCP IT Packages/ Equipment
