ABSTRACT

This study was focused on the design of Valve Spring Compressor Tool at Carlos Hilado

Memorial State College during the academic year 2016-2017. Specifically, the study aimed to

design and construct Valve spring compressor tool, test the effectiveness of the valve spring

compressor tool in the aspects of project design and features, functionality and mechanism.

The study further aimed to test the capability of the Valve Spring Compressor Tool.

Descriptive and developmental method of research was used in this study. The mean was

used as statistical tools for the study. The research instrument used in this study was a

researcher-made questionnaire to gather data. Three evaluators were selected to evaluate the

usefulness of the project in terms of effectiveness, functionality and quality. The findings

show that the device is very useful in the aspects of effectiveness, functionality and quality.

Results of the study further revealed that the device was highly acceptable in terms of project

design and feature on the other hand functionality and mechanism outstanding. Lastly, a

manual of operation was developed and stated in the earlier chapter of this report.
