Statement of purpose

These words have propelled and driven me to essentially reinforce my underlying

foundations in my training and profession. These lines have urged me to pursue my impulses.
The world is growing at a fast pace and everyone needs to stay aware of it. Consistently, we
witness transformations regarding the making of innovation, technology and management
services and so on. I would need to be a noteworthy part of these transformations and give
back my contribution to a developing, globalized world.

I wish to join Masters of Global Management program at Royal Roads University which will
give me a worldwide presentation and help me in improving my administration, management
aptitudes and fortify my procured learning in the midst of various worldwide settings. Royal
Roads is an esteemed college with a wide-going populace of students and highly reputed
faculties of varied backgrounds. Master of Global Management program offers exposure to
the crucial subjects such as International Business, Economics, Marketing, Accounting Tools,
Finance, Business Operations, Business Strategy and many more that are driving key
management developments and providing excellent employment opportunities for students
after course completion.

I work in a domain encompassed by 6 fundamental beliefs 'Customer Focused

Delivery', 'Inventiveness', 'Leadership, 'Openness', 'Individuals Growth' and
'Connections’. These basic beliefs are reflected in my work and accordingly make me fit
for the University. I believe in ‘making a difference’ and thus strive each day towards
my objectives.

Subsequently, it will be a profitable learning background as it will give a key bearing towards
my profession and development plans. Besides, the program will offer a chance to experience
an Internship Project which will introduce a continuous industry involvement in Canada and
put to utilize the course information and my experience obtained throughout the years in
India. Moreover, Royal Roads University gives a standout amongst the best courses in
Canada with the blend of the exceptionally qualified staff and quality education and in this
manner could serve all of my needs.

I completed Bachelor of Computers Applications from Trinity Institute of professional

studies, New Delhi affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University which includes
subjects like ‘Business communication’, ‘Business organization & management’, Financial
accounting’, ‘Business economics’ and many more followed by ‘Summer project/Training’,
‘Minor & Major Project’. Furthermore, I pursued Post graduation diploma in management
(Retail management) from Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Delhi, India which has
significantly helped me to grow as a management resource. This course includes subjects like
‘financial and management accounting’, ‘Financial management-I’, ‘Financial management-
II’, ‘Business communication’, ‘Managerial communication’, ‘Business research methods’,
‘Consumer behaviour’, ‘Sales management and selling skills’ and many more. Both courses
helped me in gaining research, writing, critical thinking and numeracy/accounting skills.

My latest experience incorporates filling in as a Head of customer solutions and photography

at Guesthouser Private Limited, Gurugram, India. This role enhanced my research skills,
critical thinking skills and made me experience a different field in the travel domain. My
previous work at Jasper Infotech Private Limited, Gurgaon, India as a senior account manager
in the e-commerce industry has built up my numeracy/bookkeeping aptitudes required for
accomplishment in this program. Moreover, this role requires constant resolution of the
client’s queries over the letter, email exchange and thus helps me in improving my written
communication.

Working as the Project manager at Snapdeal (Jasper Infotech Private Limited) India, has
enhanced my research skills and made me experience a challenging and fast growing e-
commerce Industry. As a part of the organisation, I have invested my time in the
intensification of the firm and actively participated in the day to day business activities
required for the growth of the organisation. Working at Guesthouser as a Head of customer
solutions and photography made me even more interested in further pursuing a master’s
degree course. I aim to become more proficient in areas like strategy, marketing,
accountancy, Corporate Social Responsibility and therefore find it the right step to pursue a
Masters of Global Management for my personal objective and career goals.

Over the period of seven years starting from my graduation, I have been indulged in plenty of
live sales projects which helped me in gaining knowledge in various fields including FMCG
(Fast Moving Consumer Goods) and Jewellery segment at More Supermarket(Aditya Birla
Retail Limited) and Tanishq Jewellery(Titan Industries Limited) respectively. It helped me in
gaining early exposure to consumer behaviour, inventory management, product re-ordering,
visual merchandising of products etc. I have worked as the chief organiser in various
programmes which includes, working under the assistance of Dr. Srikanta K. Panigarhi
(Personal advisor of Ex-Prime Minister of India- Dr Manmohan Singh ) on Carbon
Management, sustainability reporting and renewable energy at India International Centre,
New Delhi. I have also fervently worked as an Event organiser at college level which
includes participation in Alekhya, Annual media fest at TIPS and in Verve 2k13 Techno
management cultural fest at JIMS.

I believe my experience in different fields make me a versatile personality with hands-on

experience in E-commerce and Travel industry with a strong academic background in
computers application and management field will work as a great deal in order to exchange
ideas and experiences with the batch mates at Global Business Management program. I
reckon knowledge sharing is vital and it will grow more when you share it with your batch
mates. I would love to share my managerial skills, customer handling skills, and will
welcome my peer’s knowledge in return. Sharing and gaining knowledge from a diverse
group of students, world-class faculties and different cultures will provide me with the
highest level of international exposure.
Masters of Global Management program at Royal Roads University will add
different benefits to my career in the long run. The program will help me in constantly
challenge myself, learn about the latest issues and apply the newest business techniques at
work. The program helps me in enhancing my soft skills which include strong abilities in
areas like communication, teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving. Each of these
talents can add value to my future organization and such skills can give me the experience to
be prepared and equipped to take that next step toward achieving my future goals. Moreover,
the program helps me in networking with students, professors and other staff that may
provide future employment help, career suggestions and opportunities in the long run.

I would like to be seen as someone with deep expertise in the management sector. I am also
really excited to take on more managerial responsibilities in the next few years after the
program completion and potentially even take the lead on some projects.
