Honestly, there is nothing as the �best book� , but ofcorse recommendations can be
made.
Vastu is a very ancient science the its original source book �Vishwakarma Prakash�
is in sanskrit, so if you are able to find the translations and if you want to
study it in extensive detail then this is the book you need.
However, the Vastu that is applied these days is a more reformed and revised
version with which it is easy to relate it to the modern world. For that, you can
read all the books by the great author Vastushastri Khushdeep Bansal ,who has
discovered the most accurate and appropiate method...

You can't find your answers in a book. It can not be like surfing and gathering
information. It requires devotion, patience and ability to be a good observer. Of
course you should be good in meditation as well. Because soloution to complex
problems always come through meditation and not through our intelligence.
So relax. If interested learn the basics about 45 Gods regulating Earth energy in a
closed net usable space. Their attributes are mentioned in Rigveda.
Then go for Vishwakarma Prakash and finally for Pstanjali Yog Sutra and Sankhya
Darshan.
