Sri Swarna Kameshwari Thunai

Shree Sakthi Peet Temple, Mangalapuri - Kannanthangal Village, Kanchipuram District

Kumbabishekam on February 9, 2014
Respected Sir/ Madame:

Maharishi Veda Vyasa's Brahmanda Purana has listed 51 holy shrines where the divine mother has
manifested herself and is called as Sakthi Peet(s). Today these shrines are spread across over various cities
in modern day India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. The geographical challenges are
forbidding the spiritual aspirants from the Darshan of Divine Mother at all her Sakthi Peet centers. To
address this concern, it is the Sankalpa of our revered Guruji Sri la Sri Kamakshi Swamiji to unify these
energy centers at a single place for the benefit of humanity. Thus Shree Swarna Kameshwari Sahitha 51
Sakthi Peet Temple construction was commenced in 2009. This temple is conceptualised as per
Sanathana dharma tradition which stipulates four aspirations in human life viz., Dharma (Righteousness) ,
Artha (Wealth) , Kama (Desire) and Moksha (“liberation”).
Unique features of the temple :
- Shree Swarna Kameshwari Temple would be built of rock stones as per Shilpa Sastra tradition
- Daily pooja, Yagnas etc are dedicated only for welfare and happiness of entire humanity
- Divine presence of Sri Swarna Kameshwari Devi who is both satisfier of all desires and liberator
herself

Currently Shree Swarna Kameshwari temple is in advanced stage of construction under the supervision of
Padmasri Muthiah Stapathi. The Garbagraha (Sanctum Sanctorum), Artha Mandapa and Maha Mandapa
are nearing completion while Vimana work is underway.
At this stage we are very glad to inform you that Kumbabishekam as per Vedic tradition is scheduled on
Sunday February 9, 2014 between 7.30 am - 9 am and we warmly welcome all.
An appeal:
It is only the devotees of Sri Guruji and spiritual aspirants like you who have benevolently supported this
project so far and we convey our hearty Pranams to all. We seek the continuing support of each one of
you along with your near and dear ones for successful completion of the temple and its
