Data Engineering Analyst

Position at a glance:
This position is for an existing team within the existing Risk & Compliance Analytics practice at
Evalueserve Chile supporting a leading US retail bank’s community segment risk and control
oversight area, which is responsible for increasing and demonstrating the effectiveness of
process controls within the LOB.
The Bank Supervision Program (BSP) transforms risk management across Consumer Banking
using actionable data and observations to monitor a wide range of risks with emphasis on
conduct, compliance, and operational risks. The program maintains a strong control
environment across Consumer Banking and empowers our team members as accountable risk
managers.
We collaborate across Consumer Bank partners to design and implement data driven
monitoring, actionable analytics, metrics, and reporting that increase and demonstrate the
effectiveness of the control environment and align to enterprise policies. The team is also
responsible for Consumer Banking compliance with the enterprise Model Risk policy.
Responsibilities may include:

 Participating in the daily operations of data requirement gathering, data sourcing, and
DataMart development and implementation that will support new and existing strategy
development and execution, as well as risk metric reporting for all levels of the
Community Bank.
 Developing and maintaining new and existing processes required by internal audit
and/or any regulatory bodies.
 Partnering with our internal and external partners to identify potential data sources.
 Collaborating with internal and external business partners to develop robust actionable
risk metrics, key performance indicators, and the supporting data requirements to
produce them.
 Partnering closely with leaders across Community Banking to identify and optimize the
ongoing risk reporting necessary to support first line accountability for sales practices
and other key risk issues.
 Working with our EIT and business partners to research and identify potential data
quality issues.
 Providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and
procedures that are cost-effective and meet business requirements.
 Participating in the development of business cases, associated business requirements,
and implementation plans for data, analytics, and reporting investments.
 Developing and maintaining QA processes that will be used for regression testing and
identifying data quality issues.

This position is for a new team within an existing Risk & Compliance Analytics practice at

The position will be part of the Consumer Monitoring Surveillance and Analytics Team and

This position is primarily that of a Business Analyst (BA)/Project Manager (PM)
responsible for the analysis, coordination, maintenance, and documentation of complex
data management activities. The individual must have the ability to understand the
complexities of the client’s business lines and how to employ technology to enable
business goals as well as work collaboratively with business partners. The position also
includes partnering closely with the client’s technology teams.

Responsibilities may include:


• Acting as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality

Risk and Compliance Analyst

Position at a Glance
This position is for a new team within the existing Risk & Compliance Analytics practice at
Evalueserve Chile supporting a leading US retail bank’s consumer lending segment risk
and control oversight area, which is responsible for increasing and demonstrating the
effectiveness of process controls within the line of business.
This position will be part of the control analytics team and will report to one of the analytics
& monitoring team leads for the consumer lending segment. The control analytics team will
support the buildout of a strong risk analytic foundation to identify and aggregate data
across transactions, interactions, customers, team members, and products for the
purposes of supervising and monitoring operational and conduct risk. These capabilities
will enable near real-time monitoring and surveillance and provide key metrics, analytics,
and reporting to enhance accountability throughout the consumer lending operation
structure.

Responsibilities may include:


• Supporting the identification and implementation of a consistent data-driven process of
surveillance and supervision of lending activities throughout the loan lifecycle, with a
particular emphasis on conduct risk and operational risk
• Collaborating with senior leaders to develop robust actionable metrics, alerts, and
reporting to monitor control effectiveness
• Leveraging advanced data analytics and machine-learning techniques to identify risk
patterns and trends and provide insights on the effectiveness of Self-Assurance Activity
oversight programs and processes
• Leveraging structured and unstructured data as well as Big Data analytic tools and
platforms to provide insight into risk trends
• Partnering closely with stakeholders across the bank to identify and optimize the ongoing
risk reporting necessary to support first-line accountability for control effectiveness and
other key risk issues
• Producing analytics and metrics to supplement First Line of Defense process supervision
and oversight
• Supporting efforts in collaboration with First Line and Independent Risk Management
groups to research, identify, and implement workflow and real-time alerts capabilities
• Leveraging data and analytics to inform and influence the line of business’s strategic
planning team in long-term plan development around supervising front-line risk-taking
groups
• Partnering closely with other Control and Independent Risk Management teams to
support Compliance Reviews and other activities, providing data analytics as required
• Contributing to operational excellence by sharing knowledge and adhering to quality
standards and best practices

Model Validation Group Manager

Project Description:

This role is part of Evalueserve’s Risk and Compliance Practice, supporting some of the
largest financial institutions in the US and Europe. We are looking for a senior team
member to work on complex model validation assignments, providing hands-on guidance
and leading a team that delivers client assignments and supports various model validation,
monitoring and implementation teams. This role also supports Evalueserve in multiple
research and innovation projects with regard to the Risk and Compliance model life cycle
space, as well as advanced analytics in risk management. The team leader will also be
responsible for knowledge sharing and training activities, working in close partnership with
our teams in India and SMEs in the US and the UK.
Job description
The candidate will be required to work on one or more of the following Risk and
Compliance models for global Investment banks:
• Market/Credit/Traded risk models for various asset classes (VaR models, stressed VaR
Models, Asset Pricing Models, FRTB Models, Margining Models)
• Credit Methodology models for wholesale, financial institutions (PD/LGD/EAD models,
CECL, and counterparty credit risk models)
• Stress testing models as under CCAR (balance sheet forecasting, PPNR, loss
forecasting, scenario enrichment modeling, etc.)
• Operational risk models, including AML
Important responsibilities in this role include:
Performing various initial and/or ongoing model validation tasks, as per instructions and
guidance from senior quants:
• Running tests and calculating pricing on third-party models/platforms such as Bloomberg
MARS, Risk Val, Kynex, and Numerix, etc.
• Writing code for statistical/mathematical models, financial models for benchmarking, and
for validation of high-risk models on QuantLib and other libraries
• Reviewing model implementation in production code; performing additional testing
• Performing direct and indirect validation of calibration in models
• Conducting model risk analysis, stress testing, and other tests under different scenarios
• Drafting a validation report with analysis of test results, a description of mathematics and
other equations underlying the model, as well as a summary of findings, etc.
