The Dust suppression system shall be supplied in strict compliance to the technical specification
listed hereunder.

DUST SUPPRESSION SYSTEM FOR BWSR:

APPLICATION

To suppress the dust generated at the transfer points of discharges of the conveyor a
reliable and efficient dust suppression system is required.

SITE CONDITIONS

Dusty environment, having

Location - Maitree, Rampal, Bangladesh

Ambient temperature - 50ᵒC

Maximum moisture - 24%

Wind speed - Basic wind speed – 73m/sec (above 10m from ground level)

Operating conditions - 24 x 7

Design should be with the consideration that the equipment will be in open area, exposed
to the all-adverse weather condition.

SYSTEM PARTICULARS

No. Of systems required : 4 Nos / 4 machines

A water tank located on the machine will fetch water from the terminal point (customer
scope) and fills the water tank. From water tank through a booster pump, pressurized water
shall be distributed at various locations of the machine.

Each nozzle shall have 2 LPM of flow rate. (Supplier to check & suggest)

Following details have to be provided by supplier.

1) Number of nozzles required at each transfer point.

2) Head difference with respect to ground shall be provided. (Levels have been shown in
the attached sketch)

3) Nozzle throat and details shall be provided.

4) Water tank capacity to be provided.

5) Pump capacity shall be mentioned.

6) 30m flexible hoses with drum

Reclaiming capacity – 1375 tph.

Details required

1) The dust suppression system shall comprise of spray monitor system for spray nozzle and shall
incorporate both manual and automatic mode of operation from the control house.

2) The spray monitor system shall be furnished complete with spray controllers and control
actuators, piping, valves and all necessary accessories to have the system operable after
connection to the main pipe.

3) The input water for machine mounted dust suppression system shall be saline in nature,
thus vendor shall consider the material of construction of tank, pump{ casing 18 % Ni-cast iron
D-2 type, impeller ASTMA 351CF 8M, wear plate/ liners shaft & shaft sleeves -SS-316L),pipes,
QRC, fittings, DS nozzles etc. made of Stainless steel to prevent the effect of corrosion.

Spray nozzle system shall be complete including, but not limited to the followings ;

a) Automatic spray controllers

b) Flow controllers, hand valves, basket strainers and solenoid valves
c) Spray housing, strainer assemblies, and spray heads
d) Pressure regulators
e) Plug and swing check valves
f) Timing and control relay, conveyor and feeder load switches
g) Push button switches and magnetic starters
h) Control Panel
j) Motor shall be of IE-3 efficiency as per IEC standard.

The dust suppression system shall be proven relay based control system. The dust suppression
system shall be controlled automatically and manually at LED/Keyboard in the control house.
Necessary interface signals to PLC (Potential free) shall be made available in vendor control panel
Only IEC standards is acceptable.

CONTROL PANEL:
Vendor to Provide control suitable for outdoor installation. Design ambient 45degC and minimum
0degC. The panel shall be of Wall mounted type with all required clamps provided. Three phase
415V +/-15% power supply will be provided by TENOVA for each panel. Control supply should be
230V and it is vendor responsibility to select suitable control transformer for their panel.
Control Panel shall be with IP-65 and Paint shade of RAL7035
LOCAL CONTROL PANEL , JUNCTION BOXES SHALL BE CORROSION PROTECTION TYPE.
IF THE PRODUCT FOUND DEFECTIVE AT SITE IT IS VENDOR RESPONSIBILITY TO
REPLACE THE EQUIPMENT WIHTOU ANY ADDITIONAL COST.

JUNCTION BOX:
Junction box if nay for field instruments shall be as per below specification, All JBs shall be
made of minimum 2 mm thick CRCA and shall have door hinged at the bottom with retainer chain.
All Cable entry at the bottom of the junction box. The Protection class of all junction boxes shall be
at least IP 65 and Paint shade of RAL7035. All junction boxes shall be provided with external
earthing lugs. Gland plate shall be 3 mm thick of galvanized steel.
The terminal blocks shall be suitable for mounting on DIN rail as well as G–rail. The
insulating material of the terminal blocks shall be unbreakable having self–extinguishing property.
All metal parts including the screws shall be of copper alloy. The terminal block screws shall be
self-locking type to withstand vibration and also to prevent accidental loosening of conductors.
Individual core of each cable shall be terminated at terminals of JB / Panels using suitable
connecting lugs. 20 % spare terminal to be consider in the junction box.

SCOPE

It includes all the above system and any shortfall of accessories like pipe length, elbows,
pipe clamps, pads, screws; threaded unions etc, to suit at site conditions should be
supplied by supplier without any extra cost.

DRAWINGS AND DOCUMENTS

The vendor shall furnish the following drawings and documents

1. 5 sets hard copies and 3 sets of electronic copies of all documents are to be submitted
in the English language.

2. In addition, operation and maintenance manuals shall be translated in to “Bangla” and

paper copies and in the electrical format.

3. Electronic copies shall be submitted in primary original data format(e.g. DOC, XLS,
DWG) as well as in a printable nonproprietary document format(e.g. PDF).
