HOW TO PATCH ADOBE APPLICATIONS

ON MAC, WORKING EARLY 2017

Download AMT Emulator for mac (latest version is 0.8.1 for mac)
• You can get this from mactorrents(dot)org and search for it there or get it
from another trusted source.

Download and install Adobe Zii 2.2.1

• You can get this from mac-torrent-download and search for it there.
 STEP 1: DOWNLOADING THE ADOBE DESKTOP APP

Head on over to the link below to download the Adobe CC

desktop application. This is where we will be downloading the
applications from.

*NOTE* You should have an Adobe ID already made, if you don’t

then just sign up for one and then sign in with it to continue
 STEP 2: DOWNLOADING THE ADOBE TRIALS

• Open up the newly downloaded desktop application

and navigate to the “Apps” tab on the
top menu

• Scroll down and select “Try” on whichever application(s) you

wish to download and patch

• Go through the installation process and select “install as

trial” if prompted

*NOTE* When the application finishes downloading, DO NOT LAUNCH IT (this might
make it or break it for you and you’ll have to start all over)

If you opened the application before opening AMT and see the “you have X days
remaining” I recommend you uninstall the application and try again
 STEP 3: USING AMTEMULATOR

• Install and open AMT

- Select the blue dropdown arrow on the right side of the screen (I will be using
Photoshop for this example, steps are the same so follow along with the application

- Once clicked on the blue dropdown arrow, select the application and version you wish
to patch

• Select the “Install” option on the bottom right hand of the screen
- This will open up a Finder window in which you will locate the Adobe application
 STEP 4: NAVIGATING FINDER

• On Finder, navigate to the location in which the Adobe application

was installed

- This is by default in Applications< AdobeXX CCxx <

• Once the application is highlighted as in the picture above, click on

the “Select” option in the bottom right of the screen

 STEP 5: FINISHING UP

• AMTEmu will begin the patching process and will be done in a

second.
- Once the application is patched successfully you will see the following message (note that mine
might look slightly different than yours because I have already done this process, the important
parts are the last three lines .

• If you see “WORKING DONE”, the process has succeeded and the
application is now patched

• Now, Restart your computer and then open up the application

*Important note* If you go back to the Creative Cloud desktop
app and go back to the “Apps” tab, you will see a title next to
the app name that says “Start Trial.” This is normal and you
should NOT click on it, as long as you don’t see any popups
when launching the application itself, you will be fine.

This is NORMAL, it SHOULD say

“Start Trial”
 STEP 6: UPDATING APPLICATIONS FOR LATER ON

• We will be updating applications from the Creative Cloud desktop

application
- Just click on the blue “Update” button and it
will begin updating

• Again, it is important to note that you should NOT launch the

application after you have updated it.
 STEP 7: RE-PATCHING NEW VERSION WITH ADOBE ZII

• We will be using Adobe Zii 2.2.1 to re-patch the applications after

updating

- I do realize that Adobe Zii could be used to patch the applications in the first
place but in my experience AMT Emu has worked better

• This will update and patch all available applications at the same time to
the newest versions

• Open up Adobe Zii and click on “Patch”

• It will start patching and might ask you for Root Permissions to fully
patch the applications

- If it asks you to enter your password, go ahead and enter it, this is just for
the patch to completely go through.

• Once finished, you will see

“Completed” you are now done
