Dear PC families!

September is here and fall is in the air! The

LORD is Good! We have a busy month
ahead. We held our Tiller Award Mass on
Tuesday, Sept. 3rd. The Tiller Award is an
academic excellence award given to one
student from Prairie Catholic each year.
This year’s award winner is Allison Lindner!
Congratulations!

Our Magazine fundraiser has begun and the

students are excited to see what Principal
Spindler will be doing at the end of the sale.
Will she kiss a pig? OR Will she camp on
the roof? The goal is to sell more than
$12,000 and the students will get to vote on
what Principal Spindler will do to show our
SAINTS Pride! The FIRST turn in date is
Thursday, Sept. 5th.
Renaissance testing will begin Sept. 9th and
run through Sept. 20th. This is the first of
three testing sessions we have in our
building. This test is a great way to discover
where your child(ren) are academically. The
test results will help determine how to
instruct your child(ren) to best meet their
academic needs.
Please be sure you have your child (ren) to
school on time! Routine is important and we
want our students to have the very best day
they can!
Congratulations to Allison Lindner on
earning the Tiller Scholarship Award.
Allison had the highest GPA during her
7th grade school year. It takes a lot of
work to achieve this award. Thank you
Allison for setting such a good example
for the younger students.
Morning drop off policy – Parents please
do not drop off your child before 7:45 am.
Outside supervision begins at that time. Any
student arriving prior to 7:45 will be taken to
daycare, and the family billed for time there.
We have a wonderful daycare that opens at
7:00 am. If daycare is needed, please stop in
and visit our director Kelly White or call Little
Saints Learning Center at 608-326-8624. We
appreciate your understanding.

Principal Spindler
Beginning of day – Students will begin their
day at 8:00 am. When the bell rings Middle
School student will enter the building first. Once
all Middle School students are in, the
elementary students will then come in, with all
students beginning classes by 8:10 am. Thank
you for your attention to this change.
Health and Wellness
We would like to remind all families that again
this year we are trying to stay on track with the
health and wellness initiative as we did the past
three years.
Three things to remember.
The school will allow students to travel
anywhere in the building (except tech lab and
church for obvious reasons) with a water bottle.
The students can use a new consumable bottle
for every day or have a dedicated water bottle
that is washed each night at home.
We again ask that all parents make an effort to
send healthy snacks when it is their turn to
provide. A list of healthy snacks is included in
the weekly information.
Forms to office – reminder that the following
forms are due to the office on Friday,
September 6th.
• Statement of Compliance
• Student Insurance
• Safe Environment
• School Communications form
With the verification of Parent Safe
Environment Training form, parents need to
check one of the three responses on the top
section and two on the bottom portion.
Magazine Sale – All families are encouraged to
participate in our annual Magazine Sale. The
final turn in date is next Thursday, September
12th.
Picture Retakes - Picture retakes will be
held on Tuesday, September 17th in the
school annex. All students who did not
have their pictures taken during
registration will have their pictures taken at
this time.
Any students who would like their pictures
redone must bring in the original picture
packet that they received.
Server Sign Up form– The Server Sign
Up forms need to be returned to the office
by Friday, September 6th. The new server
schedule will be sent home soon. Please
see the church bulletin for current server
schedule.
