Artificial

Intelligence
(and it’s step to replace us)

Izabella Nowicki
What is Artificial Intelligence?

According to Britannica, artificial intelligence is “computer systems being able to perform

tasks that normally require human intelligence”.

These tasks include speech recognition, decision-making, visual perception and so much
more. So with technology doing all of the work, it seems great. But this is taking jobs away for
people in the financial industry. Marc Andreessen, a venture capitalist, has said “100,000
financial workers are not needed to keep money flowing”. This will lead to a decrease in jobs
available to the public.
What’s happening?

Companies have been struggling to catch up with today’s technology and adapt to the
changes. Artificial intelligence is disrupting companies and replacing people’s jobs. The end goal
of this technology is to perform every task a human can. This is not talked about as much as it
should be. This is affecting people, their jobs and our future.
What jobs exactly are being affected?

❏ Insurance Representatives
❏ Softwares are being introduced and they are able to analyze and interpret all data and reduce time
to make the experience better for the client and easier for the company
❏ Bank Tellers
❏ AI has been introduced and have been very successful with conducting cash transactions. It will
soon be introduced to opening accounts which will take a fraction of the time and save the expense
of traveling for the client.
❏ Construction Workers
❏ Technology has been designed to now build and lay objects. Robotic bricklayers are a big thing that
will be introduced and be able to work four times as fast as humans.
❏ Taxi Drivers
❏ Uber and Lyft are huge disrupters to the taxi companies in big, and even small, cities. It is much
easier to request a ride online as opposed to finding a random one on the road.
