2 Installing PSUs and Lithium Batteries

NOTICE
 Never install a module with power on. Ensure that the angle between a module and the line vertical to the ground is within 10 degrees.
 Do not assemble a lithium battery with an RRU.
 If multiple lithium batteries need to be side-mounted together on a single layer, the four waterproof rubber plugs between adjacent batteries
must be removed.
 There are two types of connecting kits. The BOM number of the kits for connecting a PSU with another PSU or with a lithium battery is
2121152571xxx. The BOM number of the kits for connecting a PSU with an RRU is 2121151141xxx.
 The paint on the surface of the module should be kept intact. Therefore, any damaged paint must be repaired.

2.10 Mounting on Channel or Angle Steel

NOTE
Channel steel size  As shown in the left figures,
and installation when the narrow edge size of
method channel steel is less than 40
mm, only installation methods
a and b are supported.
 When channel or angle steel
is used for installation, each
Angle steel size layer supports a maximum of
and installation 1 PSU + 1 lithium battery or 2
method PSUs. Refer to the procedure
for flush mounting on a small
pole.

2.11 Flush-Mounting a Single PSU

A single PSU can be flush-mounted on a small pole, wall, or large pole. For details, see the installation procedures in sections 2.3, 2.5, and 2.7.

3 Installing an AC SPM (SPM60A)
NOTICE

 If the SPM is not configured, you do not need to install the SPM and its cables.
 It is recommended that the SPM be installed under the PSU on the same pole or wall.

Multi-module Cascading

NOTICE

 If the SPM is configured when AC input is used, each PSU should be connected to the SPM.
 A maximum of four PSUs can be cascaded. If multiple PSUs are configured, they can be cascaded by connecting BAT and LOAD ports or
by interconnecting LOAD ports. It is recommended that DC loads be equally distributed on the PSUs.
 A maximum of five lithium batteries can be cascaded. If multiple lithium batteries are configured, they should be cascaded by
interconnecting BAT ports.

 Signal cable cascading:

PSUs should be interconnected using DB9–DB15 cables.
PSUs should be connected to lithium batteries using DB9–DB9 cables.
Lithium batteries should be interconnected using DB9–DB9 cables.

 Connecting remote monitoring cables (two optional methods):

PSUs should be connected to RRU using DB15–DB15 cables.
PSUs should be connected to a monitoring device using DB15–dry contact cables.

5 Verifying the Installation
1. Check that the mounting kits are reliably installed and all screws are tightened.
2. Check that all cables are reliably connected with correct polarity and there is no short circuit.

6 Power-On Commissioning
1. Measure the PSU input voltage. Ensure that AC input voltage is in the range of 85–300 V AC and the HVDC input voltage is in the range
of 85–400 V DC.
2. Check the PSU and lithium battery indicators. Ensure that the green indicators are blinking slowly and that the yellow and red indicators
are off.
3. Measure the DC output voltage at each load port. Ensure that the value is in the range from -42 V DC to -58 V DC.
4. Observe the power system for about 15 minutes. If no alarm indicator is on, the system is running properly.
