Overview
Chemically Xylometazoline (HCl) is 2-(4-tert-butyl-2, 6-dimethylbenzyl)-2-imidazoline.
Xylometazoline (HCl) is a direct acting alpha-adrenoceptor agonist, used as vasoconstrictor for nasal
decongestion. It promotes nasal drainage and relieves nasal stuffiness. Xylometazoline (HCl) is
used to relieve symptoms associated with a cold, hay fever, allergies, sinus infections and other
related conditions.

Side Effects

Warning / Precautions
Use topical decongestant (xylometazoline) only in acute conditions, not longer than 3 to 5 days. It
should be used sparingly in all patients, especially in infants, children and in cardiac patients.
