and do not use damaged tools.

Operation of Electric Hand Drill
Frequently inspect all tools; defective tools shall be
immediately removed from service.
Maintain tools with care. Keep them sharp and
clean for best performance.
Follow instructions in the user’s manual for
lubricating and changing accessories.

Tools should be of good quality and adequate
for the job.
Provide and use properly the right personal
protective equipment (eye protection). Use
hearing protection for prolonged use of drill.
Wear proper apparel for the task. Loose
clothing, ties or jewellery can become caught
in moving parts.

manufacturers’ instructions.
Never force a tool as it may slip and cause an
injury to the operator or other staff.
When using tools while on ladders, scaffolds or
platforms, a carrying bag or container shall be
used for tools not being used.
Keep all people not involved with the work at
a safe distance from the work area.
Secure work with clamps or a vice where
possible, to free both hands to operate the
tool to avoid wrist strain.
