STUDY PLAN

My name is Ropendi Pardede, 22 years old male. Now I'm taking my final semester as a
student of public health in Institute of Health Science Deli Husada. The Institute of Health
Science Deli Husada is one of the best private universities in North Sumatera, even number 3
in Indonesia based on the SPMI (Internal Quality Assurance System) on 2012 and the 2nd
best libraries throughout northern Sumatera in 2013. During college I was very excited to
take the classes. I always gave my best in every semester (GPA 3.78 of 4.00). In public health,
I have focused interest study in health policy and administration. I had taken several courses
such as Health policy, Leadership in development and community organizing, Administration
of Community Policy, Hospital Administration, Health Policy Analisys Method, Health
economics, and Health care Financing . They are the seeds of my research. I have finished my
thesis entitled: “The Influence of Excellent Service Perception Towards Inpatient Satisfaction
at General Public Hospital (RSUD) Panyabungan 2015”. I will graduate in early August
2015.

All of us might be know what the vision is. While I concern with something wrong and
desire to change it by contributing what I can do, it is a vision for me. While I see many
things are not like they should be, such as a person cannot fulfill what he really needs. Let us
talk about health system is not in order from the higher until lower position of officials who
complicate people to get their right to be healthy. I can find health programs are bad and
incorrect allocated. I also find many tears of hungry man, lack of nutrient, neglected children,
and so many places which has not been touched at all by health official and also health
service. I do concern about these situations. And I see these situations in my country,
Indonesia. In this case, public health professionals especially Master in public health or
health care administration that quite rare are really needed to assist the government in
analysis, health problem solving, policy making, and community development in the health
field that require a comprehensive improvement to provide health services to the community.

Therefore, I have a strong willingness to continue my study to the next level which is
linear with the previous one. I will use this opportunity to expand my experience and
perspective in health, especially in healthcare administration so that I can apply my
management knowledge and skills to practice in health administration field. After graduating
the Master in public health, I would be able to transfer my new knowledge to all the people,
community or many students in Indonesia to produce higher quality of health.
 Taiwan is the country where I would like to stay. I have read much more about Taiwan and
I found that Taiwan is a multination country, many foreigners, many foreign industries, and it
improves greatly time by time. This condition will be an advantage for foreign student like me
to learn more new knowledges and gain many experiences.

Because of the funding reason, I search for scholarship program to get master degree.
My friend from Pharmacy Faculty of University of North Sumatera, Arnes Anestesia Samosir
had passed the scholarship program for Fall 2014 in Graduate Institute of Biotechnology,
Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology. After seeing the website of Central
Taiwan University of Science and Technology I conclude that the International Master’s
Degree Program in Department of Healthcare Administration CTUST is the best place for me
to continue my study, to develop my research capability and make new direction of my
research field, and also give me a chance to enter professional career in the health field. I
believe that CTUST will help me to reach my dreams.

Studying in Taiwan will be a great chance for everyone, including me, not only because of
the offered scholarship but also because of the educational system itself. If I get the chance to
join here, I will give my best perform and finish the master degree in two years with the great
academic achievement. I am sure that I can do that. I do really hope that studying at an
international university will make me understand more how to deal with many types of people.

Finnaly, I would like to have the opportunity to get the scholarship in Central Taiwan
University of Science and Technology. If I can get a chance to be a part of Central Taiwan
University of Science and Technology, I will give my best. I am sure that I am capable to
obtain good performance during my study at CTUST because it is my own expectation so that
I will be able to motivate myself totally. Not only at the time of study, but also after I will be
graduated, I will do all my best with confidently with all of my educational background and
experiences, and solve my concerns.
