RESUMEN

Los presentes informes se desarrollaron gracias a los resultados obtenidos en los internados
rotatorios en el proyecto (PRO – CUY) y la veterinaria “Happy Puppy”. Por un lado, en una
primera etapa, en PRO-CUY se evidencio un aumento de 9 cuyes donde la ganancia de peso
gr/día fue en machos de 0-15dias (7,7), Recría I (7,9), Recría II (7,4) y en hembras de 0-15dias
(7,3), Recría I (7,5), Recría II (7,6). Finalmente el rendimiento a su canal fue de 61%. En una
segunda etapa, se observó que la moderada bioseguridad del proyecto aún tenía falencias, por
tal motivo se realizaron medidas rápidas y se propuso un programa de bioseguridad. Por otro
lado, en la veterinaria “Happy Puppy” se evidencio las patologías gástricas, resultando el más
recurrente la gastroenteritis en caninos con un 72% y en felinos el calicivirus con un 55%. En
casos respiratorios, el distemper canino con un 54% y la traqueo bronquitis infecciosa con un
46%. Asi también, se determinó la cantidad y tipo de vacunas aplicadas por dicha veterinaria,
siendo la más aplicada la octavalente con un 39%.
 SUMMARY

The present reports were developed thanks to the results obtained in the rotating internships in
the project (PRO - CUY) and the veterinary "Happy Puppy". On the one hand, in a first stage,
in PRO-CUY there was an increase of 9 guinea pigs; where the weight gain gr / day was in
males of 0-15 days (7.7), Period I (7.9), Period II (7.4) and in females 0-15 days (7.3), Period I
(7.5), Period II (7.6). Finally the yield as salable meat was of 61%. In a second stage, it was
observed that the moderate biosecurity of the project still had shortcomings, for this reason
rapid measures were taken and a biosecurity program was proposed. On the other hand, in the
veterinary "Happy Puppy" gastric pathologies were evidenced, being the most recurrent the
gastroenteritis in dogs with 72% and in felines the calicivirus with 55%. In respiratory cases,
canine distemper with 54% and trachea infectious bronchitis with 46%. Also, the amount and
type of vaccines applied for this veterinarian was determined, being the most applied the
octavalent with 39%.
