Design a plan to solve the problem

To describe the importance of revitalization of water and how it will be significant to our health. To
distinguish the two kinds of water and how it processed by different filtration system used in a water
refilling and how can we make it safe for human consumption. Comparison of the effect of reverse
osmosis system and intense filtration system on water refilling stations. To identify different water
testing and analysis, how frequent the collecting of samples, and know how often the testing in a year.

Figure 1 shows the regular monitoring conducted by the local health offices for water refilling station
according to the Sanitation Code of the Philippines.

Describe results of collected data

The water source is completely isolated from other environmental influences such as pollution and
radioactivity. Grander process changes the inner structure of water and returns the water molecules
to a highly ordered state, making the water more stable, it helps for the improvement of water quality.
It enhanced the shelf life of water, USFDA does not require shelf life for bottled water but it last for
years and actual shelf life is indefinite. They requires all food beverages including bottled water to
have expiration date to standardize packaging and the flavour of the water may change over time as
it absorbs chemicals from its packaging. The expiration date of bottled water here in the Philippines is
8 months to 1 year and others up to 18 months. Water for being as universal solvent it increases
solvent power and protected from all risk of pollution.

The people who live in or near an area with a demand for safe drinking water ( people using deep well
or there is a history of outbreaks ) and some entrepreneurs who want to open a business because we
all know that water is basic commodity so demand is not a problem. Revitalized water applicable for:
Home and living, Hotel and restaurants, Wellness and swimming, Animals and agriculture, Bread and
food production and Industrial.

There are three varieties of products sold in water refilling stations: Mineral water, a product of a
filtration system that eliminates impurities easily seen by the naked eye. An ultraviolet is also applied
to kill bacteria. Next is purified water made by removing all impurities or “hardness” of the water through
reverse osmosis. Last is Alkaline water or alkalized ionized water is produced by removing the acid
content of the water and increasing its pH level.
Entrepreneurs are required to submit (a) water analysis of potability from your water source (physical,
chemical, and bacteriological tests); and (b) engineering drawings signed by a sanitary engineer.
Mayor’s permit is issued by the municipal office after two to three weeks from date of application.
Continuous monitoring by collecting water samples for bacteriological quality every month of the year,
every six months for physical and chemical quality, every year for biological quality and some
monitoring for radioactive contaminants if significant amount of radiation input from surrounding
environment.

Derive conclusions and recommendation

Hard water is water mostly found directly from water source like irrigation, from the sea and deep well.
These are water that has high mineral content while soft water contains low concentrations of ions like
magnesium and calcium like rainfall or drainage basin of rivers. To have a revitalized water that put
water in the high level or state, the water should filtered by using two types of filtration system. One
kind of this system is the reverse osmosis system where it softened the water by purifying the water
or remove salts and impurities from tap water or water directly from water source. The other is the
intense filtration system where there are multiple stages of filtration to assure quality of water is safe.
There is alkaline water processor, mineral water and no waste water so its eco-friendly.

Develop report and action plans

As a consumer, awareness of GMP and SSOP components is significant under local government unit
inspection. Always inspect the water that we drink by knowing the station that we purchase our drinking
water. Research on the latest trend or technology in purifying water for some entrepreneurs. If cannot
afford to provide transportation that closed and not exposed directly to aerobic contaminants, always
put a plastic on containers to protect the water from any contaminants. Be resourceful. Water refilling
stations waste a lot of water during the purification process. To help the environment, you can recycle
the water by opening a laundromat adjacent to your water refilling station. By opening this combo
business, you increase your net profit and help conserve water at the same time.
