2- Verbs and verb phrases related to the body. There are some words which usually collocate
together like “nod + head” or “clap + hands”. Knowing which words usually occur next to one
another helps you predict what speakers say, even when you couldn’t hear or understand
properly. Look up these verbs and verb phrases in a language dictionary. Write down their
meaning and pronunciation (you may need to use a separate sheet of paper).

a. Have an X-ray or scan to see if anything is broken
b. Have stitches if you have a very deep cut
c. Have an injection, when a drug is put into your body through a needle
d. Have a bandage put on to keep the wound clean
e. Have an operation, when part of your body is cut open to remove or repair a damaged part
