Every teacher uses practices that are applicable in every subject matter. Some uses devices and
techniques just to make every lesson easy. In teaching, it is not just a way of sharing knowledge to your
client but as the teacher you must think many ways on how these knowledge will retain to the learners.
The following are the most common best practices that were used by the teachers in every
subject matter:
In teaching English the used of flash cards, charts, drill in sound of letters are the most common
best practices that were used by the teachers in primary level. While, in the primary level the used of
flash cards, unlocking of difficulties, the used of charts and spelling are commonly used.
The used of flash cards, window cards, board work, drills, APAW and APAD are the best practices
that were used in teaching Mathematics in all grade levels. While in teaching Science, the used of real
objects, activity sheets, experiments, charts and pictures are the best practices applied. As you can see,
visual materials are much more effective in teaching Science.
Moreover, in teaching Filipino because it is more focus in reading readiness among the primary
level the teacher used flashcards, charts and individual reading. In the primary level, they focus more on
how to develop the reading comprehension of the learners, they used charts, reading materials and ask
questions from the story read.
Visual Materials are commonly used in teaching Araling Panlipunan, because it deals in the
names of the persons, different places and historical events. The learners can learn more if they see the
pictures of those important events from the past.
Singing and dancing and experiential learning is used in teaching M.A.PE.H. In these subjects
learners can internalize what they learned when they apply what the teacher teaches.
Just like M.A.PE.H, teaching E.P.P is more focused in hands – on activities such as cooking and
agriculture. In this case the learner must experience on how to cook and how to take care of plants, the
teacher will just guide the pupils in the process.
Lastly, in teaching Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao or G.M.R.C. the best practices that were used are
role playing and simulation because it deals more likely in real life situations.
