EXPLANATION:

The communication starts with the SOURCE who will generate ideas. This will now form
into MESSAGE. After which, it will be passed on through a CHANNEL or medium to transmit
the messages to the receiver. The receiver will now interpret the message and gives
FEEDBACK to the source of the message. INTERFERENCE perhaps, is found at the center of
the diagram because it may happen at anytime in a communication process. CONTEXT AND
ENVIRONMENT where found outside of the diagram for which they will vary across the
communication and can affect how people interprets the message being transmitted from the
sender to the receiver.
Encoding, transmitting, receiving, decoding and responding are the main process of how
communication takes place along with the elements of communication.

(CONCRETIZING)
1. List various channels through which personnel of your school connect with you. Which
channel/s do you find most effective? Why?
- These are the channels which school personnel may connects with me. These are the
following;
-Teachers
- Classmates
-School Employees
-Social Media
-Mobile Phone
In communication to be effective, you need an accurate information form a legitimate
source. So, I will choose the teachers. Teachers bring informations that are reliable and true.
Choosing teachers to be the most effective channel because the information is direct and every
information is direct and answered right away.
2. Through a SLOGAN, state how the knowledge of the communication process aids people
in communication affectively.

“Through listening, we understand.

Through understanding, we respond.
Through responding, we communicate.”
Explanation:
The essence of listening is an integral part of communicating affectively. If we will not
listen, we can’t understand. If we don’t understand, we’ll not be able to respond back and to
respond back means communication. So, Listen to Communicate.

(INTROSPECTING)

In this lesson, I learned to be an EFFECTIVE AND ETHICAL COMMUNICATOR, I should

be able to send/ transmit my messages clearly valid and reliable and won’t assume that the
message being sent was clearly delivered and interpreted accurately to the receiver. I should
also establish eye contact to the listener and convey the message clearly with an appropriate
tone of voice. I should attentively listen to the one talking to show respect and understand
accurately the messages being delivered by the speaker and should clarify things, if found
confused in a good manner to be an ethical communicator.
