According to the Gospel, a kid presented God with these to feed his people. As God
performed his miracle, it then provided over thousands of loaves and fishes for a thousand
mouths to feed. In my perspective, the kid surrendered to the will of Jesus as he proved his
faith for him. And thus came the miracle of God.
If we surrender to God, what are we giving up? Does it mean, as it does for the
enemy in battle, to give up on victory in our lives? Is God holding a gun to our heads and
forcing us to give Him everything we have, like a bandit or mugger might do? To be sure,
there are those who are willing to portray God in that way, especially where self-gain is
involved. But when we come to know the true character and nature of God, we quickly
discover how false that image is.
“God is with me,” well that’s my belief that cannot be hide, because I believe
on him even though I cannot see him through, but by his presence and creation, I
consider that he really exists. I believe his love is more powerful than anything in
this world. He is superior and eternal. He can do all things. He can turn impossible
things into possible one. He can do such sacrifices just for us to be safe and aware
in all things. He loves all his creation especially those who give significances and
value him more anything in this world. Just like how deep his love on the people
who was listened on him while he was preaching in the song “5 loaves and 2 fishes.”
How did it happen? Well, let’s find it out.
It was in the morning when the child saw a crowd of people listening to one
man and that man is none other than “JESUS CHRIST.” As time passes, evening
comes and all people was worried due to hunger and the boy think what if he will
give his 5 loaves and 2 fishes. Later on, he decided to give it though its not enough
to feed all the 5000 people. Did you know that he gave it with all his heart. He said
take my 5 loaves and 2 fishes, do with it as you will, I surrender. From that sentences
we can barely conclude that the child is giving his all blessings though its just a little
one.
“I surrender,” small sentence but have a big meaning for us, to God. The
moment he gave his meager blessing to God, he also gave his life to God as a little
gift, and that what Jesus want us to do for him. To surrender and give back give back
the love he gave, though Jesus does not push us to do the same thing but he wants
us to be as who he is. Giving in this state is like giving your life to God, surrendering
all your burden to him, all of it be cast away. God wants us to do the same thing
what boy does, to give our meager life as a gift to him, our 5 loaves and 2 fishes, our
talents, to bring the simplicity of who we are to God and see the miracles that God
will do in our little lives. He does not need anything he only want us alone with our
purity and full trust on him.
Those “two fishes and five loaves,” symbolizes his love to us that even we are
sinners he still chooses us and give us our needs by the means of multiplying it
equally, we must be thankful for it. His love is the reason why we exist and live
fairly in this world. As for me, my five loaves and two fishes-my five loaves are my
family, my life, my goals, my classmates and lastly my friends/bestfriends while my
two fishes are my life to be and my successes. These are my visions and priorities in
life. Why did I choose them? Is it because they are my source in life and my
inspirations why did I have to move forward in my life though its very difficult and
lots of struggles comes in my way. They are the reason why I exist in this world and
be happy for who am I. All of these, I offer this to God, though I not put him in my
loaves or even in my fishes is it because I consider him more powerful than anything
in this world. I consider him as my main and very first point of view in my life.
These are main purposes in life and little gift to God that I behold unto him. Without
him beside this all these can’t be exist in my life, should be thankful and be proud
of it.
“I may not perfect, I can do mistakes but at least I have this virtue of praising
and worshipping God, and I’m proud to be one of his works. I’m proud that
he guided me with all my journey in this world. Though, I’m still curious
about him but I have no doubt on knowing, ruling me and letting him to enter
my life in this earthly world. For my significance love on him, I’m offering
my five loaves and two fishes to him. I will surrender this so that he will walk
through with me, I have trust on him. I will stick on this verse found in
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your
own understanding.” All my inhibitions, burdens, and ambitions I will trust
this unto him, to God. Because in every single breath I take is a big miracle
from God. Amen.”
