VISION
The Ramon Magsaysay Technological University shall be a progressive learner-centered
research university recognized in the ASEAN region in 2020.

MISSION
The Ramon Magsaysay Technological University shall primarily provide instructions,
undertaken research and extension and provide advanced studies and progressive leadership in
agriculture, forestry, engineering, technology, education, arts, science, humanities, and other
fields as may be relevant to the development of the province.

GOALS OF THE COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM


Graduates of the Teacher Education Program have the ability to:
1. Relate education to the larger historical, social, cultural, and political process;
2. Use wide range of teaching methodologies to effectively facilitate learning in various types
of environment
3. Devise alternative teaching approaches for diverse learners;
4. Plan lessons with appropriate instructional materials for effective delivery and assessment
of learning outcomes;
5. Build a strong character reflecting professional and ethical teaching standards; and
6. Grow in person and in professional through the pursuit of lifelong learning.

II. Course Title: Guidance and Counseling
III. Course Description:

This course has been designed to introduce the concept, scope, and
theories that govern the process of guidance and counseling in education. Through
the knowledge and skills acquired from this course, they will be well equipped to
explore their talents and potential. The course will include both theoretical knowledge
of guidance and counseling and their development of different techniques in guidance
and counseling. It will strengthen their ability to exercise active listening skills, reflect
on students’ problems, and help them choose potential solutions to their problems.

XIII. COURSE POLICIES

1. Regular attendance is required for all students. The number of allowed accumulated
absences is only limited to 20% of the total contact hours, which is equivalent to 11
hours;
2. Wearing of the university student’s ID and decent civilian apparel for all students are
highly prescribed;
3. Cellular phones must be turned into silent mode during classes. Gadgets and other
technological devices that may disrupt class discussion or the owner himself shall also
be kept. Only during presentations or activities that will be determined by the instructor
the above mentioned devices can be used;
4. 2 Tardiness is equivalent to 1 one day of absence.
5. Special examination is only allowed to students with valid reason, and within 1 week
after the scheduled examination. If the student fails to take the special examination
during the grace period, he/she will incur a grade of zero on that examination.
6. Students shall abide the instructor’s policy on the submission of learning outputs based
on the metrics and deadline given.
