Teaching / Learning Activities 1. Warmer : Greetings.

2. Set induction : ( simulation )


- Tr.uses some realias to do a short simulation on a
birthday surprise party.
- Singing :” Happy birthday”
- Tr. relate the starter to the topic.
- Tr.asks related questions to pps.

3. Presentation : (shoulder partner)


- Teacher introduces the topic,focus and successful criteria.
- Tr. shows picture / provides 10 keywords.(worksheets)
- Tr. asks pps to identify & memorise the 10 keywords.
- Tr. asks pps to choose meanings strips from a magic box
& match it to their correct words.
- Pps fill in the table of the words & the meaning correctly.

4. Practice : ( think - pair – share )


- Pps are divided into groups.
- Pps are given worksheets of sentence stems..
- Tr. explains on the sentence stems using the tables.
- Pps memorise the same keywords & fill in the tables
paragraph by paragraph.(think-pair-share)
- Pps write the full paragraphs based on the tables
correctly.

5. Production : ( assessment )
- Pps are given worksheets / picture on Teacher’s Day.
- Tr. gives 10 keywords related to the picture.
- Pps / Tr.discuss on the meanings of the words.
- Pps use the same method to draft their composition.
- Pps write the complete paragraphs based on the tables.
- Pps make Teacher’s Day Card.
6. Closure :
- Pupils recap the learning outcomes.
- Tr. concludes the lesson & relate it to daily life.
- Moral value : appreciation –
a) appreciate your friends / family members
( celebrate / organise birthday party for them)
