FOOD DELIEVERY
Retail food delivery is one of the courier service in which restaurant are majorly involved for delivering
foods to customers. Orders are made by the customers to the restaurant , cafes etc through food
ordering company. The delivered items can include entrees, sides, drinks, desserts, or grocery items and
are typically delivered in boxes or bags. The delivery person will normally drive a car, but in bigger cities
where homes and restaurants are closer together, they may use bikes or motorized scooters.

Customers has the facility to choose to pay online or in cash depending on restaurants and cafes. A flat
rate delivery fee is often charged with what the customer has bought. Tips are often customary for food
delivery service.

he first food delivery service was for naengmyeon (cold noodle) in Korea, recorded in 1768.
Hyojonggaeng (hangover soup) was also delivered for the yangban in the 1800s. Advertisement for food
delivery and catering also appeared in the newspaper in 1906.

online food ordering and delivery service portals. The popularity of online food ordering and delivering
services is steadily growing, expectations of the users are also increasing. This research paper is aimed to
investigate consumers‟ views about the services they receive from different portals. This paper will help
the service providers to understand the consumers‟ perception, needs and views on the basis of the
result of a survey. To start this discussion, a look at the relevant literature, particularly in relation to the
online food ordering and delivering services has been described below. The survey and its results,
followed by findings and conclusion on how the consumers perceive the services can be used by the
online food delivery service businesses to develop better strategies to market their mobile applications
successfully.”
