GRAMMAR: PAST SIMPLE
Exercise 1. Complete the following text using the past tense of the verbs in brackets.

2. Forming comparatives and superlatives

lines at the entrance were terribly long because there was a graduation. I met with my study group, we started
discussing about the problem of calculus, and which was the best way to solve it. We ended up finding a new
method to make it work. After that, I talked with the dean of my career about the possibility of studying abroad
and he said to me that I had to get good marks in English if I wanted to try for a scholarship to go to the United
States. After lunch, my mother called me to ask me for a favor, Camila sent me her part of the work and I gave
back my girlfriend the book she had lent me two weeks ago.
