Unit 1.3. What's the weather like?

When a snowstorm falls, there are strong winds that blow the snow around everything, making it

hard to see what's around you, it is dangerous if you're out of home or driving, because you may

lose your way in the blinding snow. Also, winds makes the temperature colder, and if you're not

with the right clothes, you're body temperature would dangerous slow, and you can bring

hypothermia in some cases.

It is necessary to follow these recommendations to resist snowstorms:

1. Have enough food, medicines and water at home.

2. Have flashlights

3. Be always well wrapped.

Unit 2.1. Going on a trip File

Dear Mum.

Jhon and I had a wonderful time in Ireland. Every day we GOT UP early and go for a long walk

in the country. When we RETURNED we usually have a very big irish breakfast which normally

consisted of two eggs, three slices of bacon, toast and jam. We usually ORDERED a cup of coffe

after breakfast: Colombian coffe, of course.

After breakfast we sometimes Went swimming in the river. We often MET chiuldren who like to

swim there. They BEEN very nice. At night we nearly always DRUNK a few pints of Guinness

in the pub�s bar before we GONE to bed. We always SLEPT well after that, I can assure you.

 Drivers should adjust the mirrors.

 A good drivers shouldn´t look at the cell phone when driving.

The perfect place to spend vacations is Santa Marta. You should go there, because is so

beautiful. You should visit the beach and rivers too. If you go with your wife, she had better uses

not bathe in the river, wherefore it can have a lot of current.

Dear Friend.

It has been a long time without speaking and today I would like to know through this letter

that you know about my new job as an accountant. My new job is at a school called Colegio San

Francisco de Barranquilla and I have to work from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Although the school is

very large, the administrative area is far from the classrooms and that makes my office very

comfortable and ideal to work in a pleasant and fraternal environment. I am in charge of several

financial responsibilities. I'm the cost accountant. The portfolio manager and I am also the

internal auditor. This profession requires time and a lot of concentration so as not to make

mistakes. That is why I do my job with an entrepreneurial and visionary attitude that generates

changes in the social and work environment. That's why my goal is to always work as a team.

I like my work so much. I never thought to say it, but i've grown to like work. I hated it!
The numbers really appeal to me. They gave me a car; can you believe it? My new car is out of
this world. They give us all kinds of snacks and drinks. My office is very big with a beautiful
view. That´s sick!

Cinthia Guerreo 4.

I do not like it because my work is far from my house; I have to walk a lot to take the bus.
The uniform seems horrible to me, I do not like to work on Saturdays because I enter at 7:00, nor
do I have a good salary. I'm always late at home and I can not watch my favorite show at 6:30.
