DND CAMPAIGN EDGE OF LIGHT

Welcome to the Free Marches of Velas, found in northwest Azmodec. This land has a
variety of terrains and biomes,from mires
to mountains, deserts to sprawling forests. Instead of being ruled by kings like in
the days of old, there are dozens of
independent city states most ruled by Magisters: powerful human wizards that seized
control over the last 200
years. There are other areas, such as the Sea Dwarf Isles (Ayaradahn), the last
stronghold of the dying dragonborn race
(Yortakh), and the mysterious kingdom of Fen to the very south, ruled by the Mad
King of the Drow, who's magic blocks
out the sun in his domain. Velas is an overwhelmingly human dominated province,
with a few other holdouts such as the
Dwarven fortress of Tyr Gaan, and numerous elvish communities.

The party begins at the Fat Dwarf Inn, in the northern town of Anderton. Anderton
is a busy port town run by an elusive
old magister named Odell. The party sits wherever they please in the inn. (The
party can notice that there are no non-
humans or dwarves for that matter around). Some may notice that there is a band of
mercenaries in the corner at a table,
they motion over non human party members and go about a brief conversation, (4-
humans:Elias, Skuli, Elves:Erowen and
Elihal). They tell the party that the town changes at night and they must flee.
Before another word can be spoken, a bell
tolls, and the human citizen start inhumanly shuffling out of the inn and towards a
church in the center of town. Upon
leaving the inn, the party will be approached by a smiling old man. The man also
says its dangerous here and that they
should follow him to his home. The party may choose whether to follow the old man
(Odell) or the mercs)
