CORE VALUES
WISDOM -- a word synonymous to knowledge and the translation of the Arabic word "hikmah" referring to the
Prophet's Sunnah in the Glorious Qur'an -- is an acronym for World Islamic Service for Developing Outstanding
Muslims (WISDOM). The nucleus of our value system is WISDOM which also stands for the following:
W – Wisdom – We aspire to do everything with wisdom based on the Qu’ran and the Sunnah. We are committed
to teaching wisdom to others inspired with the following Allah’s injunctions:
‫ُوِت َخ ْْيا َكثيْيا ۗ وما ي َّذ َّكر إيََّّل أُولُو ْاْلَلْب ي‬
‫اب‬ ‫ي‬ ‫اْليكْمةَ من ي َشاء ۚ ومن ي ْؤت ْي‬
َ ُ َ َ ُ َ َ َ ْ ‫يُ ْؤيِت‬
َ ُ َ َ َ ً ً َ ‫ْمةَ فَ َق ْد أ‬ َ ‫اْلك‬
“He grants Hikmah to whom He pleases, and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But
none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding.” (Qur’an 2: 269)

I – Integrity – We adhere to moral and ethical principles; and are honest and truthful in all our relationships and
dealings with others.

S – Sincerity and Sacrifice – We dedicate ourselves with utmost sincerity and sacrifice to Allah based on the
Qur’anic injunction:
‫ي‬ ‫ي‬ ‫قُل إي َّن ص ََليِت ونُس يكي وََْمياي وَمََ ياِت يَّّلِلي ر ي‬
َ ‫ب الْ َعالَم‬ َ ََ َ َ ُ َ َ ْ
“Say: ‘Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death are (all) for Allâh, the Cherisher of the
Worlds.’” (Qur’ân 6:162)

D – Dynamism – We have the passion to share authentic Islamic values and other useful knowledge through
dynamic and innovative teaching strategies.

O – Outstanding accomplishments – We aspire to achieve excellence and perfection in everything we do for the
pleasure of Allah.

M – Moderation - We go for moderation in all our actions and deeds in order to help promote peace, development
and success.

PHILOSOPHY
Wisdom Islamic School’s educational philosophy asserts that students learn best when they truly believe that they are
created to submit to the Will of Allah by following the way of the Prophet Muhammad when it comes to seeking knowledge
and excelling in performance. Wisdom Islamic School expects its students to work at the highest level of which they are
capable, as was the teaching of our dear Prophet Muhammad when he said, “Allaah loves that when one of you does an
action, he perfects it.” (Muslim no. 1955)
VISION
Our vision is to see a learned and prosperous society that adheres to the authentic teachings of Islam where members
are ideal individuals and groups who please Allah wholeheartedly, live a pure Islamic life in this world, and aspire to
attain eternal peace and success in the Hereafter. This vision conforms to the prayer of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be
upon him), as a source of inspiration, enlightenment and aspiration as stated in the Qur'an:
‫اج َع ْل يِن يمن َوَرثَية َجن يَّة النَّعيي يم‬ ‫ي ي ي‬ ‫ي‬ ‫َْلي ْق يِن يِب َّ يي‬ ‫ي‬

“My Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer)! Bestow wisdom (religious knowledge, right judgment of the affairs) on me, and join
me with the righteous. And grant me an honorable mention in later generations. And make me one of the inheritors of the
Paradise of Delight.” (Ash-Shu`ara 26:83-85)

MISSION
Wisdom Islamic School aspires to be a leading institution for providing quality education and authentic Islamic teachings
based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah, upon the understanding of the Righteous Predecessors, as well as other relevant
curricula for a well-balanced life, development and success.

GOALS
1. To provide a quality, ambient, Islamic environment that facilitates excellence in education whereby learners feel
comfortable, safe and free to enhance their faith and Islamic knowledge and be able to practice Islam as a complete way
of life;
2. To develop learners’ abilities, skills, interests and capabilities through integrated well-balanced curriculum and
meaningful learning experiences in an Islamic environment;
3. To mold young Muslims to become dedicated, honest, sincere and dynamic leaders in the future who will be
prepared to lead their respective communities for a peaceful and prosperous well-balanced life and development;
4. To prepare young Muslims for a successful life with a clear consciousness of their primary goal to worship
Allah alone and be able to play their roles as ideal members of the Muslim Ummah;
5. To train young Muslims to be good and responsible citizens, and play important roles in the promotion of world
peace and development for the pleasure of Allah.
6. To promote the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for the successful development of the total person as an
ideal Muslim; and
7. To prepare students to adapt to the complexities and challenges of an increasingly interdependent knowledge
society and a rapidly changing world.

CURRICULUM
Wisdom Islamic School follows the Department of Education K-12 Curriculum, as well as an Islamic Studies
Curriculum based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah, upon the understanding of the Righteous Predecessors.
 GENERAL SCHOOL RULES
SCHOOL RULE 1
OBEY ALLAAH AND HIS MESSENGER, DO GOOD DEEDS, AND BEHAVE WELL
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
ِ ‫ و َخالِ ْق الن‬،‫السيِئَةَ ا ْْلسنَةَ َتَْحها‬ ِ
َ ‫َّاس ِبُلُ ٍق َح‬
‫س ٍن‬ َ َّ ‫اتَّ ِق‬
َ َ ُ َ َ ِّ َّ ‫ َوأَتْب ْع‬،‫اَّللَ َح ْي ثُ َما ُك ْنت‬
“Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed and it will wipe it out. And behave well towards the
people.” [ Sunan al-Tirmidhî ]

SCHOOL RULE 2
SPEAK ENGLISH OR ARABIC
All Students must speak in English or Arabic during school hours inside the school compound except during Filipino and Araling
Panlinpunan. Speaking the vernaculars of the different Filipino tribes is STRICTLY prohibited during school hours inside the
compound.

SCHOOL RULE 3
UNNECESSARY INTER-MIXING BETWEEN UNRELATED MALES AND FEMALES IS NOT ALLOWED
Males above the age of 7 should not mix with females above the age of 7, unless the male is a “Mahram” to the female.

SCHOOL RULE 4
SHOW APPROPRIATE RESPECT TO EVERYONE
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
ِ ‫ضرر وََل‬
‫ض َر َار‬ َ َ َ َ ‫ََل‬
There should be neither harming (darar) nor reciprocating harm (dirar). (Recorded by Ibn Majah)
The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

ُ ‫ َد ُمهُ َوَمالُهُ َو ِع ْر‬:‫ُك ُّل ال ُْم ْسلِ ِم عَلَى ال ُْم ْسلِ ِم َح َر ٌام‬
ُ‫ضه‬
“Every Muslim’s blood, property and honor are unlawful to be violated by another Muslim.” (Recorded by Muslim)

SCHOOL RULE 5
TOOLS OF ENTERTAINMENT ARE NOT ALLOWED AT SCHOOL
- Cellphones should only be brought for necessity and must be given to the Class Advisor at the beginning of the day and
returned at home time
- Use of internet or social networking applications is strictly prohibited within the compound at all times
- Toys and gaming gadgets are prohibited at school
- Music is Haraam (disallowed for Muslims) for Muslims and is therefore strictly prohibited within the compound

SCHOOL RULE 6
- LEARN authentic Islamic knowledge based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam),
upon the understanding of the Companions and the Righteous Predecessors
- APPLY what you have learned
- SHARE what you have learned
- BE PATIENT when sharing what you have learned

SCHOOL RULE 7
CHANGE EVIL TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY
The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if
he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart (hate it) – and that is the weakest of
faith.” (Recorded by Muslim)
