Smart Blood Bank System

The concept for the blood bank was and is driven by two factors: a need for blood and a scarcity
of available blood. Smart Blood Bank System application that provides real time information
on blood availability. This Application allows users to search for blood just by making a few
clicks. With the help of a mobile-based app that helps you in locating a blood donor and then
guiding you all the way to contact.

Normally, the blood bank system are based on registration and the search for blood donears
and looking for availability as required based on blood group. Blood group are common near.
areas just need to locate the availability based on location. There are blood donors contact
that are open throughout the year, but there are also improvised slots that are specially
assigned for an event. The smart Blood Bank System needs to implemented mainly in the
rural areas, developed with the incorporation of advanced technologies and researches from
various academic disciplines. With its deployment in the blood bank, it is hoped that it would
solve the aforementioned problems faced by the patrons within the blood bank

Existing system
The existing blood banking system includes a lot of manual work which takes a lot of time
and physical effort. Users need to connect to the internet if they want to know the details of
the blood donors. It takes a lot of time and effort to collect information about blood donors or
receivers. Proper information is not available to the users.
2. Proposed System:
In the proposed blood banking system, the information about donors can be
found in an easy and simple way which does not take any time or effort. This
system provides an easy way to search donors within less time. Users can
search details of the donors and can get their contact details including the
location. This system enables users to communicate with donors directly which
avoids miscommunication.

Modules:

Registration:

The donor needs to register with the application by entering all the details. The donor
can get login by entering valid username and password. The donor can search
details of the patient and can contact them directly.
Search Based on Blood type and City:

The receiver needs to register first with the app by entering all the details. Receive
can get login by entering valid username and password. Receive can search details
of the donor and can contact them directly.

Contact:
It’s an add on feature for the app. User can directly contact to donor. Using call or for
immediate response user could be text donor or send out mail based on
requirements of blood units.

About:
To get connected for any query and user requirement. It’s also specify user in brief
about the application.

Advantages:

 It saves user time in search of blood available in such a long area.

 The system provides a blood view and contact details of the donors.

 User can connect online on the spot and confirm their space.

 This system can be used to view all the donor details and accordingly
select the right donor.
  The android mobile user will be able make quick decision in selecting a
donor.

 Usage of this application will greatly reduce time in selecting the right
donor.

Disadvantages:
 The android mobile user will not be able to insert or view details if the
server goes down. Thus there is disadvantage of single point failure.

Applications:
 This application can be used by any common people.
 The application can prove very beneficial in to the clinics, hospitals as
the requirement is very high in such places.
