hospitalization in pediatric room at RSUD Dr.M. Haulussy Ambon (Mentored by
D.F. Sumah and M.H.Pattipeilohy).

Anxiety is an emotional reaction arising from unspecified that can cause feelings
of worry, discomfort and threatened. The anxiety of children is usually influenced
by many factors some of that are previous experience in hospital and invasive
treatment. This study aims to determine the relationship between previous
experience in hospital and invasive treatment with anxiety of children’s
hospitalization in pediatric room at RSUD Dr.M.Haulussy Ambon. This study
used a cross sectional approach with a total sample of 38 respondents and using
purposive sampling as a sampling methode. Data collection techniques using
previous experience in hospital questionnaires, observation invasive treatment
sheets and anxiety questionnaires of hospitalization. Statistical Test Results with
Chi square test showed a significant value (p) of 0,000 (p= α <0.05), previous
experience in hospital (p= 0,000), and invasive treatment (p=0,000).
The conclusion is there a relationship between the experience of previous
experience in hospital and invasive treatment with anxiety of children’s in
pediatric room at RSUD Dr. M. Haulussy Ambon. For the further researchers to
may able develop research a digging deeper into other factors such as the
characteristics of respondents including age, sex and length of stay that can affect
the anxiety of children’s hospitalization.
