Matthew 19:3-12
I want to focus my sharing in this words of Jesus, “Because of the hardness of your
hearts…”

Stony heart… it is actually one of my weaknesses, being a man who have a hard time to
forgive. I remember my experiences of “AWAY” when I was in high school. Fights with my
classmates, friends, enemies, parents, cousins and to my especial someone. On this “AWAY”,
every time, I always seek for vengeance, I always plan for revenge. In fact, most of us especially
me myself braced on this idea “to revenge.” Like me, for example, whoever among you, if you
fight with me “YOU’RE NOT EXISTING ANYMORE.” On the other hand, you are NOTHING
to me. Seems I cannot set aside this kind of attitude. I am holding on it. That is my battle cry,
because I don’t want someone to look at me as “KAWAWA at KINAKAAWAN.”

That is my biggest shield, our biggest shield a “stony heart” or I must say PRIDE. My dear
friends, I am encouraging you to not to forgive your enemies but to control your pride and do love
yourself first. If we will make it then, we can really do well to love and forgive others. I did it. Not
one’s but more than one. I was in a state of anger and I wanted to explode but I remember my
mother the night when they fought with my father. My mother said “HUMINGA KA MUNA,
PARA MABAWASAN YAN INIT SA LOOB MO.” It is a reminder for me, but most of the time
I fail to recall and do it as well. But the challenge is, “LOVE AND FORGIVE YOURSELF” so
that you can be able to share it with others ‘KAHIT MINSAN LANG SA BUHAY MO’ or for
‘LIFETIME’. Jesus reminds us do not harden your hearts.

I want to share my poem about the theme: “Because of the hardness of your hearts…” I
love this poem actually. It means a lot to me. A reminder, examination of conscience and can use
as a prayer. I hope you’ll be inspired. Let us review ourselves using my poem. Ask yourself then
do find the answer through meditation and prayer.

After listening this please, allow GOD to help us to be more open: in heart and mind so
that we can do better for the community and for our God through others.
Because of the hardness of my hearts…
(Original composition)
Because of the hardness of my hearts… I was blinded with the reality of being a good
person.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I forgot to love and accept myself.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I forgot to forgive myself.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I forgot to forgive others.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I didn’t even pray for others.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I forgot to look myself in the mirror that I am weak
also as you my brothers.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I did not saw Jesus in others.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I seek perfections to others just for myself even
I’m not.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I did not discover my identity as son of God.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I had rejected the love of God through others.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I chose to close my door for others.

Because of the hardness of my hearts… I forgot myself as who I am.

May God help me to be SPIRITED and PROFICIENT in making myself available of loving

So that I may HARDEN MY HEART NO MORE!

--End--

Thank You!
