STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Introduction:
My name is Abdul Noor son of Abdul Kareem introducing myself to the course in
LaTrobe University, Sydney campus for Master of Professional Accounting. I have
made plans to enroll myself in this most prestigious university since my graduation
days. I was born on 22 September in the year 1990. I am a resident of Borabonda in
Hyderabad ever since my birth residing in this most beautiful environs of the Nizam
and Telangana culture. This place is a great space for multiple heritages and
cultures with both local and global influences.

Academics:
I completed my grade ten (called as SSC- Secondary School Certificate) from
Newton Grammar School in Rahamathnagar of Hyderabad which is in the affiliation
with the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh. I passed out my tenth
class with a first class and my subjects for this were Hindi, English, Mathematics,
General Science, Social Studies and Telugu with an aggregate of 74.6%. I did my
Intermediate Board from Sultan Ul- Uloom Junior College, with Mathematics Physics,
and Chemistry, Environmental Education, English and Hindi as subjects of my
course with an aggregate of 63.3% in March 2010. I have graduated from Maitreyi
Degree College which is in affiliation with Osmania University, Hyderabad in the year
2013 with an aggregate of around 58.3%. I started to understand the dynamics of
managing finances and corporate development of global business corporates. My
subjects have been English and Hindi with Business Economics, Economics, and
Management, Finance, Accounting, IT, with Insurance and Taxation, E-Commerce,
Corporate Accounting, Law, Auditing, Costs along with Indian Heritage and Culture
and Science and Civilization. The subjects and their understanding created the
future purpose of my vision to create a company that provides business development
and experience towards future generations’ emergence into the dynamics of global
business development.

Occupation and Experience:

After graduating, I have immediately started to work in the Routelink Technologies
Private Limited as a "Junior Accountant," in the year 2013 July. I have started to
understand the nuances of corporate accounting, budgeting, finance control, MIS
reports, tally, and exposure to taxation and have been doing monthly accounting
reports, carrying on auditing and managing the business accounts. I have
experienced that with the work atmosphere and the real work on hand I have started
to be well versed and have added advantage to give myself the experience of being
the Senior Accountant in the same organization. With the added advantage of being
thorough in accounting gave me an impetus to understand the better future
development of the company and its perspectives into expanding the horizon of
global business development. Senior position in accounting in the organization and
additional responsibilities of the whole team and organization gave me the right
thinking towards the future development have developed here. My position here
gave me the opportunity to see the future of corporate accounting and business
avenues for business development in the field. I have this five years period to
acquire the right experience. I have plans for my own business and my development
as a business development team for my company, which I have been envisaging to
have after my course in Corporate Finance and Financial Management in Masters.
The only one intent that I kept in mind was to do it in an international University,
which provides active and intense international exposure with friendly and
professional ambiance and supporting surroundings.

Why a Master’s Degree:

A Master’s Degree in an international university has been my idea that will equip me
with skills to enhance my potential to excel and improve my overall personality. The
international exposure that I will be able to experience will be the best of its kind. I
will further improve myself with interaction with my fellow-mates. The faculty will
help me understand and evolve to present trends and developments in the field of
global accountancy along with the existing trends and the upcoming alternatives and
changes for the coming times. I am the future generation person of finance and
business dynamics. I need to educate myself for the coming trends of global
changes in business and its developments. I have decided to use my experience in
the education of my Master’s to establishing myself as a businessperson.

The Indian Universities have courses at the Masters and do provide scope for
development and expansion. But my vision is towards globalization. I have also
interest in traveling and extending my roots to other countries during this phase of
expansion and globalization. Exposure to international environment and culture in
Australia is what I desire and hence I’ve chosen to study in a country like Australia
rather than my own country.

Why only Australia?

The answer to this question lies in fact in the answer that Australia has some of the
best student cities in the world. Providing the optimum habitat, which is crucial for a
young mind to educate and use a wide spectrum of extracurricular activities for
relaxation and social growth. The benefit of a Master’s degree in Australia is that it is
well connected for travel and exploration. It is colorful and the mix of ethnicity and
culture are great to experience. Staggering awareness about overseas education
opportunities that lie in Australia is a talk all over the different campuses. The
atmosphere is favorable and helps me to grow and develop. It is well-supported fact
that one out of every four students in the Australian Universities is an international
student, particularly from India. The swiftness in adaptability to the Australian cities in
terms of its heterogeneous culture, ethnicity, and standards is faster. Considering the
cost of living for the Indian students, Australia is a perfect liveable option for higher
studies. This is something most desirable among the Indian students. The Australian
Department of Immigration and Border Protection makes a path for the young,
talented minds to come to study in the country by reviewing the applications properly
and letting in only genuine students. That way, every student I meet, is present in the
country to better him with a professional degree at hand. Australia gives good
opportunities to citizens worldwide, as the number enrolled for each course is limited
and small. The students in all courses are limited, which gives enough scope for
faculty and a healthy interaction and learning experience. I have understood that
challenge and exposure from the environment in Sydney will give the apt learning
that I am seeking.

Not the USA, UK, Canada, but Australia:

The visa norms and the present programs in the United States of America and its
Universities are extensive. It has not been encouraging enough for my vision of my
future business plans with the business development and Financial Management.
Courses provided are far too expensive. For the students like me who have long-
term plans and skills to polish, it is just not practical. Courses to the student in any
American state do not seem to be encouraging any longer. The cultural diversity of
this country has reached its saturation in my view and thus became a place for me to
not study. I have been able to see the right chance for future development at
LaTrobe University as it has the core courses that I wish to specialize. The
experienced faculty provides the right perspectives and skills for the future. The
countries of Canada and the United Kingdom have a different kind of variables
before I get to enroll for any educational programs. These countries do not seem
encouraging enough to venture and the courses they offer are not as educative and
student-oriented, as is the case in Australia. I have an understanding of the kind of
exposure that has I will be better in educating myself in Australia.
As for the Universities of Canada are concerned, to me, they have not been
encouraging enough to make any arrangements; further, and the extreme climatic
conditions do not suit me. Besides, I did not get to hear any great reviews for my
course options. Canada and the United States of America are out of my options.
With the United Kingdom, the course is too very expensive and beyond my means.
The future of the student prospects after graduating is not encouraging to my
perspectives and me. I want to have a far more powerful and effective economy like
Australia, which better caters to graduating students like me for it has a very good
Indian community which has so very well become part and part of the Australian
population that it does make you feel you are in different world and country. Australia
and its rich culture of accepting the global development have encouraged me to
apply for my prospective development as a student and upcoming businessperson of
the global business development.

Why only LaTrobe University:

It is the only campus giving complete two year Masters Degree in Accounting with
work in fields of auditing, taxation, and management consulting. It gives wide scope
to understand with the different career ranges of business areas of private, public
and not-for-profit organizations. The university provides opportunities to gain insights
into global economic and business climates by studying corporate behavior and
regulations. Equip one with an understanding of accounting and business so you can
succeed in multiple sectors. Develop skills to excel in practical skills to manage and
change in a leadership role within the organization. Placements here are a great way
to network and mentored by professionals in the field. The student-friendly campus
and the smaller number of students make a big difference to the study environment.
The teachers with their experience are another best thing about the university.
Out of the fifty top urban centers, many cities that come with a tag of being student
friendly and out of them come those are hailed as world’s best students cities are
Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. The other Universities that
provide the same courses in Brisbane have a reputation of world class. The
accommodation and fees structure are far above to the one I have opted. The faculty
and the internships offered are also not suitable for my profile.

Central Queensland University gives the right kind of subject discretion but the
constraints of the weather in this place are not advantageous to my health. I have
also noticed in the information that I have the place does not seem encouraging for
me. The expenditure that I will incur is definitely not within my means.
The University of Adelaide again has much potential with the kind of knowledge that I
seek. The connectivity factor to other parts of Australia I do not clearly know. I am
not much interested in the kind of combination of the core subjects. The universities
of Perth are most beautiful and open to the sky with long summers and mesmerizing
white beaches are good. My choice of study material and faculty exist in only Sydney
at the LaTrobe University only. So not, even Perth for me. The world is the most
liveable and most friendly place in Sydney. It has top ranking Universities that
quench the never-ending thirst of Indian students for higher education. There is no
end to writing the benefits that the Indian students like me can see in choosing to
study in Sydney. For me, the subjects and its variable for Masters are only available
on the Sydney campus. The campus and the ambiance of the Sydney LaTrobe is my
only choice of subjects and specialization. This campus absolutely caters to all my
desires of apt environment for study and over-all enhancement for my future growth.

LaTrobe University Sydney Campus:

I have plans of staying in the campus during my course as this University provides
me with opportunities to work with the people of latest development and experience
of excellent experience and exposure that will enhance my vision and acumen in
developing my vision for my future company that I am planning to work for in
Hyderabad. I wish to specialize in Corporate Finance and Financial Management. I
have had the experience of managing and updating the dynamics of the company
with the same core subjects. This University provides chances to interact with the
global leaders of the present day sharing their experience and understanding of the
global development of business and skills to enhance the future. I also am
enthusiastic about meeting and being a part of the students’ community, who would
be visiting different places as well as being an intern, who would be on study tours to
the different workplaces. These are a lifetime experience to work to the future
development of business and contacts for Corporate Global Business
Developments. The faculty is the world's leading and classroom education of
programs that are offered are by far the best options to be able to experience. I am
waiting to experience the lecture theatres and the seminars. The multitude of
information sources, clubs and societies fascinate me. I have a systematic action
plan for study and extracurricular development that the campus provides. I seek to
get all the benefits possible. It will help me to be within the budget that I plan. I find
this as an interesting experience to have which helps me understand the process of
writing the future course of my future employment plans. The right dynamics of
practice and training experience that LaTrobe ensures to its students I see as what I
can anticipate as energy and experience to cherish.

Course Plan and Future:

I am interested in taking Corporate Finance and Financial Management as my
Course Subjects. The two options help me understand future development in global
financial development. The requisite skills to understand and enhance the future
development and challenges that have to be thorough as part of setting up a
business plan. I desire to have a job back here in my country at Hyderabad after I
complete my course. I apply to apply as a Risk Analyst in companies like
CommScope, INVESCO, Franklin Templeton where I’ll be paid around 5-6 Lakhs
and my duties will be to,
 Make recommendations to reduce or control risk, which may involve an
insurance strategy
 Work with traders to calculate the risk associated with specific transactions
 Liaise with underwriters and insurers
 Forecast and monitor market trends
 Consider proposed business decisions
 Conduct research to assess the severity of the risk
 Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate risk and use statistical software such
as SPSS and SAS/STAT
 Review legal documents
 Present ideas via reports and presentations, outline findings and make
recommendations for improvements
 Purchase insurance
 Analyze a bank's market position and running figures through complex
modeling techniques to find value at risk (VAR) measurements
 Carry out quantitative analysis
After 3-4 years, I’ll be taking the role of Risk Compliance Manager where I’ll be paid
around 7-9 lakhs. Completing another 5-7 years, I’ll be made the Senior Risk
Compliance Manager where I’ll be paid around 10-12 lakhs. I also view the course
as a part of my experience into the kind of work that I would be doing in future. The
company that I will establish will carry all the requisite norms for a global venture.
The development of this organization and my vision will be providing employment for
the coming dynamic generation. In addition, the experience that I will have I wish to
share with my colleagues. Once I complete my course, I would like to use this
experience for the future entrepreneurial development of my fellow beings.

Coming back to India:

I would always choose to come back to India and work in the finance sector of the
country because of the growth which is coming in the recent past. This growth is due
to the new governance of the country which can increase the financial status of the
country offering many new jobs in the financial sector of the company.
