Foreword
“Channel Frederator loves you!”

For me, one of the exceptional things about the Channel Frederator Network is
that we get to change lives on a daily basis. We work hard with our network
members to help them grow their audiences; in April 2015, they’re entertaining
over 75 million viewers monthly, with millions more showing up every month.

At its essence, the Frederator goal is to make as many people as possible happy.

These postcards are an awesome reflection and celebration of that happiness.

Introduction
Limited edition postcards have been part of Frederator from our beginnings in 1998, as
a way of honoring the dozens of talented filmmakers we’ve been lucky enough to pro-
duce over the years. The rise of the video internet gave us a chance
to get involved with a lot more cartoons and their creators.

Over the past 10 years, Channel Frederator’s become the world’s biggest animation
network. We were "The World's First Cartoon Podcast," then "Cartoon Central on the
Internet." Unlike the traditional notion of a “network,” we were built, film by film, by
thousands of animators across the globe.

The Declaration of Cartoon Independents

Each of the creators completely controls their own channel, makes all their own deci-
sions. There are no filters, no gatekeepers, no barriers to the expressions of these intrep-
id souls. Just the raw, direct, and often sophisticated moving picture expressions of the
characters they love, the worlds they inhabit, and the stories they tell.

You can see that Channel Frederator's very first solicitation to animators in late 2005
(check out pages 30 & 31) was, in fact, our very first Declaration of Cartoon Indepen-
dents. A decade later, things have only accelerated for the growing ranks of the animat-
ed indies.

It’s a unique moment in moving picture history. Everyone at Frederator knows we’re
lucky to be part of it.
