CONCLUSION

The approaches investigated in this research were well matched to study of antioxidant
activity of zinc metal carboxylate complexes. These results will be very helpful to future
researches about the antioxidant activity in living organisms. However, the results cannot be
extended directly to in vivo systems which are different and more complex from in vitro
systems. In this study, obtained results provide insights into the antioxidant nature of zinc
complexes. The results of the present study (in vitro study) cannot be applied openly in vivo
systems because of the complex nature from in vitro systems. In the current study, obtained
results give information about the antioxidant nature of tin complexes (1-8).

Antioxidants (synthetic and natural) have an important role in the defense of living cells
from the oxidative stress. This importance is because of their pure nature and good efficiency
in biological living systems. The scientists in all over the world try to make and discover
new synthetic metal containing compounds which have antioxidative properties against the
agents causing oxidative stress in the living system. For purpose good experiments are put
forwarded about carboxylate complexes of tin metal. For healing of poisonous properties
caused with free radicals.

In the current study new tin complexes (1-8), AB-01-T-Complex, AB-02-T-Complex, AB-
03-T-Complex, AB-04-T-Complex, AB-05-T-Complex, AB-06-T-Complex, AB-07-T-
Complex and AB-08-T-Complex were used for antioxidant properties. The manufactured tin
metal-complexes were estimated for DPPH radical scavenging potential, Fe(II) ion-chelation
probable, reduction potential of Fe(III)-ion, reduction potential of Mo(VI) to Mo(V) and free
radical scavenging potential of hydroxyl group. Tin-metal compounds presented variable
activities. All the verified compounds, but, AB-05-T-Complex, mostly displays uppermost
anti-oxidant properties by altered IC-50 standards in dissimilar experiments 41.66 in DPPH,
72.21 in Hydroxyl assay, 185.12 in Fe(II) Chelation, 128.57 in PMA and 40.21 in FRAP.
The completed results show anew created confirmed complexes of carboxylate presented
attention reliant properties of antioxidants to comparison to (Vitamin C) and Ethylene
diamine tetra acetic acid. The present study indicates the importance of tin-metal complexes

as a source of synthetic antioxidants This shows the importance of Organotin(IV)
carboxylates as a source of synthetic antioxidants. The repeating assays used in this study to
screen and assess the antioxidant potential of Sn carboxylate complexes are widely
applicable. The results obtained show that all the tin complexes (1-8) reactive towards. OH
radicals, DPPH-radicals and Fe(II)-ions. Similarly, these complexes also actively reduce
Molybdenum(VI) to Molybdenum(V) and Fe(III)-ion to Fe(II)i-ion. These results indicate
that tin-complexes containing antioxidant parts which can donate an electron or a hydrogen
atom. The obtained results demonstrate the application of complexes in term of effective
radical scavenging capability and therapeutic benefits for the cure of oxidative damage
related to diseases and dysfunction.

The screening methods used in the current research for the Organotin(IV) metal complexes to
confirm as a source of synthetic antioxidant are universally accepted. The obtained results show
that all compounds of Organotin(IV) and their metal complexes actively reduces Mo(VI) ion to
Mo(V) and Fe(III) ion to Fe(II) and also exhibited the reactivity towards Fe+2 ions, DPPH and
OH radicals. From these mechanisms it is confirmed that the Organotin and their metal
complexes containing antioxidant parts which can donate an electron or a hydrogen atom.
Organotin with metal complexes were found to have high antioxidant potential than
Organotin(IV). The application of the complexes also confirmed from this result in term of
effective free radical scavenging potential and therapeutic benefits for the treatment of oxidative
damage related diseases disorders and dysfunction.

In conclusions the results present in this thesis give an idea about the nature of antioxidants found
in the tin complexes (1-8). In future study, the results of the current research should be stretched to
other methods for determination of antioxidant activity. Studies on other synthetic compounds are
also worth looking into as a part of future research.
