Vulgarity in Pakistan has become a grave concern nowadays.

There is a proper
system to control this abuse. However, the problem regarding is to proper
implementation. If we talk about TV channels, PEMRA has been taking notices to
put an end to all the contentious contents being aired on channels. They are doing
well to curb the vulgarity in dramas but movies this is a different story.

Lately, the matric students were asked to give an opinion on “the personality of
your elder sister” as an essay topic. While the topic itself sounds extremely
bizarre, the “aspects; height, look, figure, etc” that were asked to highlight in the
essay sound rather vulgar than decent. Regardless of what one may say, asking
such questions in the examination is highly inappropriate and shows teachers lack
responsibility and the mindsets that are needed to educate students. If your faculty
is making such “mistakes”, how do you plan to education your country’s
tomorrow? This shows how our system of education works insensitively.

As far as Indian movies are concerned, we cannot deny the fact that we keep an
eye on their every move. However, the recent sexualisation of women in Indian
movies has really confused the minds of the youth. Love exists no more, there is
too much to choose from and too much free time at hand, till getting married to
someone. People want everything ‘RIGHT NOW’, these ‘right nows’ have ruined
many lives and relationships. I blame the media for creating such images and
putting them up online. Like, what are you trying to promote? vulgarity? You want
to ruin the youth? Well guess what, goal achieved.
