Did you know that 139 acres of trees are cut down per minute?

Every year 15.3 billion trees are cut down, and annually ten million newspapers
are tossed into landfill. Forests cover to 31% of our earth but 2000000 trees
are cut down every day. Cutting down trees is also bad for the animals that live
in rain forests. As well as that without trees humans would die, we need trees
to take carbon dioxide which is deadly to humans and replace it with oxygen.

How can we fix this? We may not be able to stop deforestation completely but
one full grown tree provides up to 4 people’s daily needs, so if we plant and
care for one tree it will eventually help 4 people other their daily needs. As
well as that we can recycle papers as well. For instance instead of drawing on a
piece of paper than get another piece you can use both sides of one paper and
get as many drawings you want done in a more environment friendly kind of
way.

An estimated 18 million acres forests which is roughly the size of the country
panama are lost each year. So like I said planting and caring for a tree will
make that tree eventually help 4 people with their daily needs. So imagine 100
people doing that, when all the trees would have been fully grown would all
together help 400 people with their daily needs. I also said to use both sides of
paper, if you do that less trees would be cut down to make paper for people to
use.
