The measure of intelligence is the ability to change

These famous words by Albert Einstein contain lots of wisdom and practical wisdom. It
is absolutely true one’s ability to change determines one’s intelligence level. Means of
how fast a person can change its attitude or behavior according to the situation shows
its actual intelligence Change is a great quality. If you can adapt, you can achieve
anything. All great people who achieved phenomenal success had this quality. In their
pursuit of their goals when they failed repeatedly, they changed their strategies and
course to accomplish their goals and finally succeeded.
One really has to change to be successful. Have you ever seen a river? How
meandering and winding is its course! Do you know why? Well, river is the greatest
example of change. Whenever any obstacle comes in its way, it either makes its course
round or flows over it. And finally reaches its destination, the sea. Similarly, if a man
wishes to be successful, he must adapt himself to the challenges he faces. He must not
stop making efforts. He must change his strategies and be successful. Sometimes it is
wiser to go around an obstacle than be deterred by its formidable height.
Even in the evolutionary process only those animals survived that were quick to adapt;
big animals such as dinosaurs under whose thuds shook the earth were wiped out. On
the contrary small survived because they adapted to the changes.
All great people have achieved success following the principle of change. Intelligence
may help us in life, but change definitely helps us much more.
Our world grows every second of every day and, to thrive in this constantly changing
21st century world, one cannot simply just be described as merely intelligent. ONE
needs to be flexible and should be able to easily adapt the changes around him that is
the new definition of intelligence
The person who changes always survives in this erratic world. For example, when the
ice age ended the animals who adapted themselves to live in the new hot and sunny
climate, like grizzly bears, survived and the animals, like mammoth, who were not able
to adapt the change got extinct.
Change is inevitable so we must face it courageously.
When you consider that change is inevitable, it’s clear that everyone must become
proficient at navigating change, or PROBLEMS will become as inevitable as change
itself. It’s impossible to escape change even if it’s your great desire to do so.
When one is unable to navigate the waters of change, it invites problems and maybe
even disaster. Those who effectively navigate the waters of change reveal a level of
intelligence that exceeds those who don’t. No matter what level of formal education
one may have achieved, those with the ability to change are intelligent. It used to be
called common sense.
Thus, learn to change yourself according to the situation. If one way of accomplishing
something is not working, try another strategy or route.
