school sweetheart, relatives and friends and a Vietnam Vet cousin struggling to cope with PTSD

himself at a confluence of life crises – the loss of his promising accounting career for refusing to
participate in an “Enron type” accounting fraud, the unexpected end of his marriage and the
unexpected death of an uncle who raised him after his parents were killed in an auto accident
when he was a child. He journeys back to the rural southern community of his birth to attend the
funeral and contemplate a way forward for his life.

sons, each in their own way, coping with the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease in their father, set

Projects In Progress

A Part of Them Forever: Hemingway’s Last Journey –​ A non-fiction photo-essay book and
documentary film re-tracing the route of Ernest Hemingway’s last journey by automobile from
the Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis, Minnesota to his home in Sun Valley, Idaho during the final
week before he took his life in 1961. A companion documentary film is planned as well. In
progress.

South to Paris​ – A dramatic literary screenplay. The story of a restless youth who runs away
from home via tramp steamer to see the world, his loss of innocence along the voyage, the
heartbreak of first love gone awry in Paris, later, the loss of his wife and child to the troubles of
Ireland and his retreat to a Caribbean Island to capture it all in memoir. In progress.

A Wet Hook: The Making of a Key West Charter Captain​ – A non-fiction, reflective, photo
illustrated autobiographical collection of personal fishing experiences that lead to the
establishment of my business, Finatic Charters. 2005 – In progress
Don’t Stop the Music​ – A speculative screenplay on the subject of payola in the music industry.
1987. Screenplay is complete and being converted to electronic format.

Christmas Grouper – A ​ speculative screenplay that is the tale of two, laid-off Florida mill
workers who discover a floating bale of marijuana during an offshore grouper fishing trip in the
Gulf of Mexico. Against the backdrop of a lean holiday season and a bleak economic future,
they struggle with the dilemma of its disposition compounded with unexpected family
consequences. Based upon my short fiction of the same title. Screenplay is complete.

A Moveable Feast​ – A speculative screenplay adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s novel of the


same title. The story of Hemingway’s struggling years as a then unknown, young, expatriate
writer in Bohemian Paris and how it came to an end. 1984-85. Screenplay is complete. Most
recent polish 8/2019.

Cess Pit: Case Studies and Threats to Human Health in America​ - A narrative nonfiction work
describing incidents over a twenty three year career in Environmental Public Health and
associated cautionary analysis of contemporary threats to America’s public health - in progress.
Contemplated as a high school to college level text book.
