NOTICE

SUBJECT: SUBMISSION OF EXAMINATION FORMS BY PRIVATE CANDIDATES


FOR CLASS-X EXAMINATION- 2020

Alongwith the Main Examinations in the month of February/March/April, CBSE is


also holding the examinations for following categories:-
1. Candidates who have been declared FAIL in 2019
2. Candidates who have been placed in COMPARTMENT in July 2019
3. Candidates who have been placed in COMPARTMENT in Main - 2019
examinations but did not appear in Compartment - July 2019 Examinations
4. Pass out candidates of 2019 who wish to appear for improving their
performance in one or more subjects
5. Pass out candidates of 2014 or after who wish to appear in an Additional subject.

2. Accordingly, the Online submission of form by the candidates placed in the above
categories for the examination scheduled to be held in February/March 2020 will be
starting from 26th August 2019.
3. The link for the application is http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/private/index.html.

Features of Online system of registration are:
i) All forms and fees will only be accepted in online mode as per the schedules
given.
ii) No application shall be accepted in offline mode.
iii) No application shall be accepted after last date.
iv) No application shall be accepted without fee.
v) Fees for all activities will be accepted only through digital payments mode i.e.
Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card (both National/ International).
vi) No fee shall be accepted in offline mode i.e DD/ Postal Order /Money order/
cheque etc.
vii) As the Board has introduced TWO LEVELS OF EXAMINATIONS IN
MATHEMATICS IN Class-X, hence Circular No. F.1002/CBSE/Dir
(Acad)/Mathematics/2019 dated 10th January 2019 (Circular No. Acad-03/2019)
issued by CBSE and available at
http://cbseacademic.nic.in/web_material/Circulars/2019/03_Circular_2019.pdf
may be studied carefully before filling the LOC for Class-X.
viii) Details of two levels of examination in Mathematics for the students who are
going to appear in the Board examination for the academic session ending
March 2020 onwards are as given hereunder:-

a. Two levels of Examination will be held in the subject of Mathematics in the


Board examination for Class X in the year 2020 and the same shall not be
applicable to the internal assessment in class X.

b. First level would be the same as the existing one and the other would be an
easier level.

c. The nomenclature for the two Examinations will be: Mathematics-Standard


for the existing level of examination and Mathematics-Basic for the easier
level of examination.

d. The Standard level will be meant for students who wish to opt for
Mathematics at Sr. Secondary level and the Basic level would be for students
not keen to pursue Mathematics at higher levels.

e. A student will have the right to choose between the two levels of
Examination at the time of filling the online application form.

f. In case student fails at any level of Mathematics, he/she can appear at the
compartment examination as per norms of the Board according to the
options given below:

g. A student who qualifies the Mathematics-Basic shall be given an option to


appear in Mathematics-Standard at the time of remaining chances of
Compartment as per norms of the Board, in case he/she changes his/her
mind to pursue Mathematics at Senior Secondary level.

ix) Board is extending several exemptions/concessions to candidates with


disabilities as defined in the “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016”.
In this context, Notification No. CBSE/Coord/112233/2019 dated 12.04.2019
issued by the Board, may please be referred to which is available on the link
http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/attach/CWSN%20April%202019.pdf For seeking
exemptions/concessions, candidates will be required to send copy of the
Medical Certificate (Disability Certificate) available with the Notification so as to
reach the concerned Regional Office of CBSE within 07 days of submission of
the form, as per the jurisdiction given in Annexure-6.

x) While submitting application form, details in respect of candidates who have


appeared in the Board’s examination held in 2019 examination will be auto-
generated in the online system and will be visible to the applicant.
xi) Candidates of 2018 or before will need to submit the details on the online
application/portal.
xii) If a candidate makes wrong entries in his/her application form or gives false
statement or produces false document, his/her form shall be rejected, fee paid
shall be forfeited and such candidates shall be considered to have used unfair
practices and dealt accordingly.
xiii) For the Examination - 2020, examination centre will be allotted as per the
address filled in the online form.
xiv) It has been observed that some candidates complete the online entry of
application but do not remit the fee. If fee is not remitted by last date, his/her
application will be rejected without any notice.

xv) No excuse that Cyber cafe has committed the mistake will be accepted and
application will be dealt as per rule.
xvi) No application will be accepted after the last date of submission of application
form on any ground.
xvii) Mere submission of form and payment of fee will not confer a right on the
candidate for appearing in the examination. His/her eligibility will depend upon
the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Board.

Annexure 1
ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY AS PRIVATE CANDIDATE FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL EXAMINATION
(CLASS X)

CATEGORY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA


FULL SUBJECT 1. Candidate whose result has been declared as FAIL at the
(5/6 SUBJECTS) Secondary Examination (Class X).
OR

2. Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the


Board.
OR

3. Candidate who had completed regular course of studies


and had been allotted Roll No. for appearing at SSE
examination but could not appear for the Class X
examination due to medical reasons except shortage of
attendance.
OR

4. Women candidate who is a bonafide resident of the


National Capital Territory of Delhi and has attained the
age for appearing in Class X:
(i) if would have appeared through a school as a regular
candidate; OR
(ii) one year after passing Class IX and two years after passing
Class VIII as a regular candidate AND
(iii) satisfy the following additional conditions:-
(a) that she has privately pursued the prescribed course
of study under proper guidance; and
(b) that she is unable to join a Secondary School affiliated
to the Board or there are such other reasons
compelling her to appear at the examination as a
private candidate.
(c) Women candidate applying under this category
cannot take subjects involving practical component.
However, they may opt for Home Science with
practical.
OR

5. Physically Handicapped candidates who are bonafide


resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and has
attained the age for appearing in Class X on producing

reasonable evidence of having difficulty to attend normal
institutions can apply in the subjects not involving
practical training/examination. Medical certificate in this

COMPARTMENT 1. Candidate whose result has been declared as

Annexure 2

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Examination centre once allotted will be final and no request for change of
examination centre will be considered. Examination centre will be allotted by the
Board based on the current residential address of the applicant.
2. Applicant will be able to apply only for subjects which are auto-generated in the
system.
3. Fresh (New) Roll Number will be allotted by the Board for the candidates appearing
in 2020.
4. In no case the candidates will be allowed to appear with the previous year’s Roll
Number.
5. Admit cards and educational documents will be obtained in the following manner:-

For candidates who have given their address other than Delhi
(a) Admit Card Eligible candidate will be able to download their
Admit Card from the CBSE website
www.cbse.nic.in in the month of February 2020.
(b) Original Marksheet Original Marksheet cum Certificate will be sent by

Declaration of Result

Result will be declared in the month of May 2020 and will be available on the CBSE
website. However, no enquiries related to the actual date of declaration of result
will be attended to.

6. Issue of Marksheet cum Certificate

(a) Original mark-sheet and certificate of previous year examination is not to be


surrendered to the CBSE.

(b) Marksheet cum Certificate of 2020 examination will be issued to all the
candidates who will appear for the examination in the month of
February/March, 2020 immediately after declaration of result.
(c) Candidate appearing for Improvement of Performance or for Additional
subject will be issued a separate fresh Marksheet cum Certificate reflecting
only the marks obtained in the said examination.
(d) Consolidated marksheet cum certificate will be issued only to such candidate
who will appear for 2nd chance Compartment and will pass in the said
Compartment Examination in 2020. Consolidated marksheet cum certificate
will contain marks obtained in the subjects passed in the previous
examination held in March/April/July 2019 as also the marks obtained in the
subject appeared for at the 2nd chance Compartment examination.

7. Candidates will be examined only in the Subjects and Syllabus as prescribed for the
year of examination. Candidate must go through the eligibility and pass criteria as
well as current curriculum and scheme of studies available on the CBSE website link
www.cbseacademic.in/curriculum.html carefully before filling the form.
8. Private candidates cannot take subjects which have laboratory practice involved,
however, women Private candidate can offer Home Science with Practical.
9. Board issues mark sheet cum Certificate indicating marks obtained in each subject
separately. No aggregate score/percentage is mentioned by the Board. Candidates
who take 6/7 subjects and pass in all 6/7 subjects, the percentage is to be calculated
according to the norms of college/institution in which the candidate is seeking
admission.
10. Applicant can fill only one application form. In case your application is already
submitted you will not be allowed to apply again under any other category. Hence
select the category carefully.

11. Applicant will be required to provide mobile number, email ID in correct format and
correct postal address. Mobile Phone number should be of 10 digits and should
contain numbers only. Mobile number and e-mail id, either of self or any of the
parent/sibling, should be provided so that any information to be sent by the Board
reaches you. E-mail id of Cyber Café should not be given.

12. Payment should be made from either your own account/debit/credit card or any of
your parent/sibling’s account/debit/credit card so that in the event of any refund,
the same reaches you and no one else.

13. Applicant needs to upload scanned jpg files of their Photo and signature not
exceeding 40 KB in size as per procedure given in Annexure 3.

14. Care should be taken for indicating the subject code against languages as there is
more than one type of courses. For language, medium code is not required.

Annexure 3

Category wise instructions to fill Online Application form by Private Candidate

For candidates appearing under Category(ies) – Fail / Compartment / Improvement of


Performance
1. Details of Candidate’s Name, Father’s/Guardian’s name, Mother’s name etc. will be
auto-generated in the online system in respect of those who have appeared in the
Board’s examination held in 2019. Candidates of 2018 examination (or before) will
need to fill in the details on the online application form.

2. Put correct combination of your Roll number, School number and Centre number
(as given in your marksheet) of Board Examination, wherever available.

3. In case wrong details will be filled, the application will be processed, and error
message will be displayed.

4. Internal Assessment marks obtained in previous examination will be carried over.

For those appearing under Category(ies) – Fresh Female/Physically Handicapped


1. Subjects should be chosen as per the drolp down list.
2. Marks obtained in Theory examination will be converted to be out of 100 Marks
through computer programming.

For those appearing under Category – Additional Subject


1. Any one subject from the list of subjects in Annexure 4, which was not taken earlier.

2. Marks obtained in Theory examination will be converted to be out of 100 Marks


through computer programming.

STEPS FOR SCANNING AND UPLOADING OF PHOTOGRAPHS

PHOTO TYPE

 Photo should be in full colour and of high quality to avoid any


visible pixels.
 Photo must be taken in the last 6 months.
 Head should be positioned directly facing camera, centered ANITA SHARMA

and compose 80% of image. Photo should capture from


slightly above top of hair to middle of chest.
 Have a natural expression - smiling is fine.
 Subject (candidate) is in clear focus and distinguishable from the background.
Solid colour backgrounds are best.
 Eyes must be open and looking at the camera. Glasses must not be tinted unless
worn daily for medical purposes.
 The individual’s full face must be clearly visible.

 Visually impaired candidates are exempted from Examination fee.
However if form is submitted after the last date, late fee will be
applicable.
 Female candidates residing outside Delhi are not eligible to apply as
private candidate.

FEE PAYMENT

(a) Fees for all activities is accepted only through following digital payments modes
by CBSE:-

In India- Debit Card / Credit Card / NEFT/ RTGS

Foreign- Debit Card / Credit Card / SWIFT

(b) Before payment of fee, schools can take the print of LOC in the form of check list.
Once fee is paid, final LOC will be printed, and no correction could be made in the
online or offline mode thereafter.

(c) As SWIFT updation may take 2-3 days, hence, schools situated outside India are
advised to complete their process including payment of the fee in such a way that
their process is over before the last date.

(d) In case of Bank related transaction or non-updation of Fee on server, the schools
should contact the respective Bank through which payment was made. Contact
details of Banks is given on CBSE website. Generally, Bank shall be requiring
following information to resolve the issue of non updation of fee hence, be kept
ready before getting in touch with the Bank:-
