Market Description

It is written to explain the location of the company and specifically mentions the

target market segment, the reason for choosing the location and company’s target market

and the understanding concept of the market.

Our business is located at Greenfields Main Entrance Road, City of San Fernando,

Pampanga. In this particular area, it is surrounded by commercial buildings and school.

Quail to the Queen chooses this location because it is bounded with substantial number of

people, it will be a great chance to build and open the business with the outline that

people will be entice by the product. Since it is near the school, it would be accessible

and reached effectively by the target market.

The target market segments that will be targeted are the students of Our Lady of

Fatima University Pampanga Campus. The students will be attracted to Porky Squail as a

better alternative to their daily street food meal and will appreciate the product since it is

rare and affordable and a dish that is never been seen often. Our Lady of Fatima

University, with a student population of over 7,000, it will provide the business an

enormous number of consumer who will purchase the product. This will be a great

opportunity for the company because it is bordered with a massive population of its

current target market segment. When we say substantial or massive number of people, it

is a market segment that is sufficiently large to give us good profit potential.

We also grouped our target market according to their personal traits also known as the

demographic segmentation. Segmenting by age, we recommend our product to children

between the age of 11 and above, teenagers and college students. Segmenting by gender,

we will target both sexes.

When it comes to our consumer purchasing behavior, people in the area give the

impression purchase food that is inexpensive, unique and easy to eat. They are highly

sociable which helps the company to recommend the product to other. They are bargain

hunters and decide to buy cheap goods since they are students.

The company will be focusing on the concept of product, concentrating on producing

products that have better quality as contrasting to a normal product. By means of that, the

company also strives to create innovation in the product, ground-breaking product for

optimum customer fulfilment. We will also maintain our pricing range which is

affordable for our consumers.

Product Review

Many people nowadays can’t decide if they are going to buy the product. That is the

reason why consumers read product review so they can make a purchase decision.

Unlike other meatballs which are only made up of ground meat, ours is not your

typical meatballs. Satisfy your cravings by eating our best-selling innovation, Porky

Squail.

This Porky Squail is inspired by a fruit called Rambutan, which mean hairy in Malay.

It is made with ground meat, carrots, onion and garlic just like what you see in regular

meatball; however, there is a little twist on this recipe. This will make you feel delighted

on how a small meatball can give you surprises from its appearance to the filling inside

the meatball itself. You can bite it to reveal the edible inside, which is a quail egg.

Our Porky Squail meatballs are perfect for appetizer and delicious served with

noodles or rice. These are deep fried to give the crispiness of the misua (fine wheat

noodle) which is used in covering the Porky Squail. It is made up of quail eggs wrapped
around with ground pork and misua. It is really just the same mixture used for lumpiang

shanghai. Instead of wrapping it up, however, you shaped it into meatballs and the roll it

on misua. These are gratifying food because of its proper ingredients.

The advantage of the product is that it is very convenient and easy to cook. This

Porky Squail is the upgraded version of regular meatballs which can be found in the

markets. It is also one of a kind meatball since it has crispy noodles covering the meatball

itself, as well as the boiled quail egg at the center.

The only disadvantage of the product will be the price. Pricing of the product will

depend on the expenses which are the ingredients. The price of the ingredients can

fluctuate because of the demand and supply gap.

The Porky Squail is made up of all natural ingredients that must contain no artificial

ingredients or added color, and must be only minimally processed. It is a non-GMO

(genetically modified organisms) which means that the food is not made of ingredients

that were derived from genetically engineered organisms. It doesn’t have preservatives

such as the various chemical preservatives added. It is crunchy, therefore, it can make a

sharp noise when chewed or crushed. Its physical appearance looks like a Rambutan

which makes the product unique.

In general, this product can be eaten by anyone for it is healthy and delicious. This

product won’t give you hard time because it is a take away food which you can take

along and eat anytime and anywhere. This will turn your meatball experience upside

down.
Competitive Analysis

There is a least competition for street food type of product around Greenfields

Main Entrance Road, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Our leading competitors in this

segment are any food outlets within the area. In our location, there are Mr. Kimchi

Korean Restaurant, Burger Machine and Chunky Fries Corner.

Mr. Kimchi Korean Restaurant

It is a Korean restaurant that serves Samgyupsal, Ramyun, Kimchi, Bibimbob,

Tteokbokki and Dumplings. Their product price is a little bit expensive since their

product is mainly derived from Korean dishes.

It is an easy and excellent place to try something new. It has a unique ambience;

you will see Korean band’s logos, pictures of Korean idols and K-Pop artists performing

on TV. As for its pricing value, it is expensive rather than the other food outlets.

It is considered as a competitor since Korean restaurants are very popular today. It

is relatively authentic since dishes from Korea were brought in here to make it a big trend
for youngsters and adults especially when they enjoy exploring Korean culture, Filipinos

seem to be embracing Korean culture.

Burger Machine

Burger Machine serves a range of burgers at a reasonable price. Its food yields

include the BM Classic Burger, Jumbo Bartburger, Jumbo Chili Burger, Jambo Cheezy

Bacon, Double Chicken Burger, Double Longganisa Burger and Ultimate Double Burger.

Burgers are found universally, it isn’t startling then that most of the people choose

to stay loyal to the burger even when offered with fancier options. It is that burgers are

highly customizable, even at economical fast food places. This makes them the top food

choice for a student eyeing for a good meal with some variation.

It is a well-known product/ brand name, there is a supply chain. It has a

decreasing population of consumer due to increasing population of fitness and healthy

trend.
Chunky Fries Corner

Their products consist of variety of potato dish such as French fries, drinks, and

side dishes. They also serve combo meals that include a fries, drinks and street food

(hotdog, nuggets, or squid balls.)

Chunky Fries Corner is also considered as a competitor to our business since we

both share the same type of product which is the street foods. They also offer combo

meals which make people fall for it. It also offers a great price deal to its consumer.

It produces innovative product which catch the attention of the consumer. It is

limited to product variations. It also has a few crews per stall. It is a saturated food

market. It has a high fat and high calorie product that is not good for health conscious

people.

There are a lot of businesses with more food options rather than sticking to a

French fries business which has a high competitive competitor selling same products that

has a well-known brand name than Potato Locco.

and college students. Segmenting by gender, we will target both sexes. When it comes to

social class, we don’t have a definite target.

2. Political and Legal

Gauge how government actions will affect the company. The operations of a

company or business can be affected by the government actions. For the processing of

application for our business, we completed the basic requirements which consist of Cover

Sheet, Reservation Payment Confirmation, Articles of Partnership (AP), and Joint

Undertaking to Change Name. There are also additional requirements needed such as

endorsement/clearance from other government agencies, and FIA Form – 105 for

partnership with foreign national partner.

3. Economics

It consists of factors that affect consumer purchasing power and spending

patterns. This will affect the company marketing strategy, performance and status. The

contribution of our company to the Philippine economic is having more job opportunities
for the unemployed Filipinos. This means that there is a decrease in the rate of

unemployment in the country. It also contributes to local economies by bringing growth

and innovation to the community where the business is established.

4. Socio-Cultural

how your target audience’s attitudes and moods shift over time. Socio-cultural factors can

involve social attitudes, beliefs, education, legal structure and political ideology.

operations and gives a boost to the efficiency of the manufacture systems. Businesses can

use technology in several ways such as manufacturing, improving customer care,

transportation, human resource management, business communication, and use

technology to improve products and services to gain competitive advantages. Using

technology we can create new markets and opportunities.

development. This will serve as the road map outlines the end-to-end vision of the

product, particulars on achieving the product strategy and the big picture context in

terms of what the product will become. The advantage of the product is that it is very

convenient and easy to cook. This Porky Squail is the upgraded version of regular

has crispy noodles covering the meatball itself, as well as the boiled quail egg at the

center.

used Penetration Pricing as our pricing strategy to quickly gain market share by

setting an initially low price to entice customers to purchase our product. Penetration

includes presenting a low price for a new product. The lower price helps to lure

activities that a firm operating in a specific industry performs in order to transport a

valuable product or service for the marketplace.

and directly selling it to our customer. A zero level channel is a shortest marketing

frequency where there is no in-between and the manufacturer sells directly to the

consumer.
