Water treatment plant dismantling sequences of work.

General requirements and procedures.

- Prior to work, a survey report should be done to investigate about the status
of all the items existing on site to check the physical and functioning status.
- Items, devices, pipes, pressure transmitters, pressure gauges, pipes, valves,
metallic structures, screens, and all mechanical devices and items should be
assessed as the rules of thumbs to evaluate their status.
- Pumps, compressor, screw conveyor and blower will be assessed separately
as per supplier presence or recommendations.
- Assessment report should mention whether items should be replaced,
repaired or accepted as it is.
- Metallic structures should be assessed as per the rust level, whether it should
be replaced, sandblasted and painted, or simply repainted.
- In all cases items such screws, nut, bolts, U-clamps, threaded rods and
gaskets should be replaced as per recommendations and previously existing
items.
- Any item should be tagged as per existing drawing with same serial number,
in the worst case where there is no serial number, we will establish a new
one conform to the existing list.
- The plant will be scheduled as per zone, each storage tank will constitute a
separate zone.
- Each zone will be scheduled separately for dismantling.
- Each zone dismantled items will be stored in dedicated zone to avoid items
mixing.
- Scrub items will be stored separately in the scrub area.
- In general , the sequence of dismantling will be as follow:
o Pipes and valves.
o Pipes supports.
o Pumps, Blowers and air compressors.
o Screens.
o Footbridge
o Water tanks.
