Zinc is found in cells throughout the body. It is needed for the body's defensive (immune)
system to properly work. It plays a role in cell division, cell growth, wound healing, and the
breakdown of carbohydrates. Zinc is also needed for the senses of smell and taste.
Children - 10 mg/day
Women - 12 mg/day
Man. - 15 mg/day
Decreasing of zinc:
Changes in appetite Changes taste and smell Weight gain or loss Hair loss Digestive
problems Chronic fatigue Infertility Hormonal problems Low immunity Poor concentration
and memory Slowed ability to heal skin Nerve dysfunction
Increasing of zinc:
Too much zinc include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach cramps, diarrhea, and
headaches. Cases problems such as low copper levels, lower immunity, and low levels of
HDL cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol).

seafood, lean meats and poultry, eggs
