Kindly your letter No. SO E-II / SDO (C&W) 6-1/2011 dated 27.09.2012 on the
subject cited above.

Government Engineering Academy Punjab, is already conducting Pre-

Service Training Course for freshly recruited Engineers in (BS-17) w.e.f 17.09.2012. and subject
training course is going on.

The Training module for the subject training course has been developed by the
Academy with the consultation of the committee ordered by the Irrigation Department, keeping in
view specific needs of the Irrigation Department.

The subject module is focused on Administration, Management, Finance,

Revenue, Islamic studies, Pakistan studies, and has also covered the important technical portion
such as canals & drainage, barrages / head works, dams, mechanical workshop / tube wells etc in
view of the needs of Irrigation Department. The copy of the module developed for the subject
training course is enclosed as ready reference.

C&W department has already communicated, following officers as Resource

Person for developing and up dating syllabi of Mandatory In – Service Training Courses at
Government Engineering Academy Punjab, Lahore vide your letter No. SOC (C&W)5-12006
(GEA)(Pt-1) dated April 26, 2012. (copy enclosed for ready reference)

Mr. Munawar Chief Engineer had meeting with Principal and faculty members of

and conducting the Pre-Service Training Course for freshly recruited Engineers C&W department at
Government Engineering Academy Punjab, Lahore.

As a result of the subject meeting it was agreed to have a joint meeting of above
the Resource Persons with Principal Government Engineering Academy and faculty members to
prepare, and finalize training module for the subject training course for C&W department and also
discuss and finalize the other modalities in this regard accordingly.

Foregoing in view it is requested to kindly direct above Resource Person of your

department, and Mr. Munawar Hussain Chief Engineer of your department, to have meeting in next
week to finalize training module for C&W department, and other modalities for the subject training
course with Principal, Government Engineering Academy and faculty members.
It is further requested to kindly nominate a liaison officer preferably Chief Engineer of your
department, for necessary Assistance to make the subject training course successful in the interest
your department.
