I myself took numerous interviews, and as an interviewer these are the qualities I
expect from a candidate:
Thinking out loud: I cannot emphasize how important this is. Let the
interviewer know what you are thinking which will help him to guide you
through. Tell him how you are trying to solve the problem given the
constraints. Complete silence for long duration is the last thing you want in
the interview room.
Take suggestions from interviewer: If the interviewer gives you a hint, take
that. Don’t keep on lingering to some other solution. Try to accept the hints
and move forward in the direction the interviewer wants you to.
Communication: I see candidates taking the right path to the problem but
unable to communicate their solution to the interviewer. As a team player,
you should be able to communicate your ideas clearly
