Peace be upon you, O Ab£-`Abdull¡h. ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﺍﺑَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s
Messenger. ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻦ َﺭﺳُﻮ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O choicest of Allah and
son of His choicest. ‫ﻦ ﺧﹶﻴ َﺮِﺗ ِﻪ‬
َ ‫ﺧ َﻴ َﺮ ِﺓ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
ِ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋﻠﹶﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander
of the Faithful ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﺍ ﻣِﻴ ﹺﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﺆ ِﻣﻨﹺﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
and son of the chief of the Prophets’
successors. ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺻﻴﱢﻴ‬
ِ ‫ﺪ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻮ‬
ِ ‫ﺳ ﱢﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
Peace be upon you, O son of F¡§imah ‫ﻦ ﻓﹶﺎ ِﻃ َﻤ ﹶﺔ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
the doyenne of the women of the worlds. ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ِﺓ ﹺﻧﺴَﺎ ِﺀ ﭐﹾﻟﻌَﺎﹶﻟﻤِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ﱢﻴ‬
َ
Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah,
son of His vengeance, and the unavenged so ‫ﻦ ﺛﹶﺎ ﹺﺭ ِﻩ ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ ﹺﻮﹾﺗ َﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ْﻮﺗﹸﻮ َﺭ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﺛﹶﺎ َﺭ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
far.
Peace be upon you and upon the souls that
resided in your courtyard. ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﹺﺑ ِﻔﻨﹶﺎِﺋ‬
‫ﺣ ﱠﻠ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﺡ ﭐﱠﻟﺘِﻲ‬
‫ﻚ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﭐﻻ ْﺭﻭَﺍ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
Peace of Allah be upon all of you from me
forever ‫ﻼ ُﻡ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﺍﺑَﺪﹰﺍ‬
‫ﺳﹶ‬َ ‫ﺟﻤِﻴﻌ ﹰﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ِﻣﻨﱢﻲ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
as long as I am existent and as long as there
are day and night. ‫ﻞ ﻭَﭐﻟ ﱠﻨﻬَﺎ ُﺭ‬
‫ﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺖ َﻭَﺑ ِﻘ‬
‫ﻣَﺎ ﺑَﻘﻴ ﹸ‬
O Ab£-`Abdull¡h, ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺍﺑَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
unbearable is the sorrow ‫ﺖ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ ﹺﺯﱠﻳ ﹸﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﻈ َﻤ‬
‫ﺪ َﻋ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻟ ﹶﻘ‬
and excruciating and unbearable is the
misfortune of you ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﭐﹾﻟﻤُﺼﻴ َﺒ ﹸﺔ ﹺﺑ‬
ِ ‫ﻈ َﻤ‬
‫ﺖ َﻭ َﻋ ﹸ‬
‫ﺟ ﱠﻠ ﹾ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
for us and for all the people of Islam. ‫ﻼ ﹺﻡ‬
‫ﺳﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻹ‬ِ ‫ﻞﭐ‬
‫ﻊ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹺ‬
‫ﺟﻤِﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ٰ‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴﻨﹶﺎ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬
Excruciating and unbearable has been your
misfortune ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﻣُﺼﻴ َﺒ ﹸﺘ‬
‫ﻈ َﻤ ﹾ‬
‫ﺖ َﻭ َﻋ ﹸ‬
‫ﺟ ﱠﻠ ﹾ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
in the heavens for all the inhabitants of the
heavens. ‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﺴﻤَﺎﻭَﺍ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
‫ﻊ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹺ‬
‫ﺟﻤِﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ٰ‫ﺕ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬
ِ ‫ﺴﻤَﺎﻭَﺍ‬
‫ﻓِﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
So, may Allah curse the people who laid the ‫ﺠ ْﻮ ﹺﺭ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻈ ﹾﻠ ﹺ‬
‫ﺱ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﺍ ﺳَﺎ‬
‫ﺴ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﺳ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﺍ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ َﻌ‬
basis of persecution and wronging against
you, O Members of the Household.
‫ﺖ‬
ِ ‫ﻞ ﭐﹾﻟ َﺒ ْﻴ‬
‫ﻢ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
May Allah curse the people who drove you
away from your position ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ َﻣﻘﹶﺎ ِﻣ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ َﻋ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ َﺩ ﹶﻓ َﻌ ﹾﺘ ﹸ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
and removed you away from your ranks that
Allah has put you in. ‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﻓِﻴﻬَﺎ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻢ ﭐﱠﻟﺘِﻲ َﺭﱠﺗ َﺒ ﹸ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ َﻣﺮَﺍِﺗ ﹺﺒ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ َﻋ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻭَﺍ ﺯﹶﺍﹶﻟ ﹾﺘ ﹸ‬

May Allah curse the people who slew you. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﹶﻗ ﹶﺘ ﹶﻠ ﹾﺘ ﹸ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
May Allah curse those who paved the way
for them to do so ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﹶﻟ ُﻬ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ َﻤ ﱢﻬﺪِﻳ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
and who made possible for them to fight
against you. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ِﻗﺘﹶﺎِﻟ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ِﻣ‬
‫ﺑﹺﭑﻟ ﱠﺘ ْﻤﻜِﻴ ﹺ‬
I repudiate them in the presence of Allah
and You ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ ُﻬ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺖ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫َﺑ ﹺﺮﹾﺋ ﹸ‬
and I repudiate their devotees, followers,
and loyalists. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﻭَﺍ ْﻭِﻟﻴَﺎِﺋ ﹺﻬ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﻭَﺍ ﹾﺗﺒَﺎ ِﻋ ﹺﻬ‬
ْ ‫ﺷﻴَﺎ ِﻋ ﹺﻬ‬
‫ﻦﺍ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ ِﻣ‬
O Ab£-`Abdull¡h, ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺍﺑَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
I am at peace with those who are at peace
with you ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﺳَﺎﹶﻟ َﻤ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ِﻟ َﻤ‬
ٌ ‫ﺳ ﹾﻠ‬
ِ ‫ﹺﺇﻧﱢﻲ‬
and I am at war against those who have
fought against you up to the Resurrection ‫ﻢ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ َﻳ ْﻮ ﹺﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ ِﻘﻴَﺎ َﻣ ِﺔ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﺣَﺎ َﺭَﺑ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺏ ِﻟ َﻤ‬
ٌ ‫ﺣ ْﺮ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
Day.
May Allah also curse the family of Ziy¡d and
the family of Marw¡n. ‫ﻥ‬
َ ‫ﻝ َﻣ ْﺮﻭَﺍ‬
‫ﻝ ﹺﺯﻳَﺎ ٍﺩ ﻭَﺁ ﹶ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺁ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
May Allah also curse the descendants of
Umayyah altogether. ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ َﺑﻨﹺﻲ ﺍ َﻣ ﱠﻴ ﹶﺔ ﻗﹶﺎ ِﻃ َﺒ ﹰﺔ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
May Allah also curse the son of Marj¡nah. ‫ﻦ َﻣ ْﺮﺟَﺎﹶﻧ ﹶﺔ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﭐْﺑ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
May Allah also curse `Umar the son of Sa`d. ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺳ ْﻌ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ُﻋ َﻤ َﺮ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
May Allah also curse Shimr. ‫ﺷﻤْﺮﹰﺍ‬
ِ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
May Allah also curse the people who
saddled up, gave reins to their horses, ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﺠ َﻤ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﻭَﺍﹾﻟ‬
‫ﺟ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﺳ َﺮ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻣ ﹰﺔ ﺍ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ َﻌ‬
and masked their faces in preparation for
fighting against you. ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ِﻟ ِﻘﺘﹶﺎِﻟ‬
‫َﻭﹶﺗ ﹶﻨ ﱠﻘ َﺒ ﹾ‬
May my father and mother be ransoms for
you. ‫ﺖ ﻭَﺍﻣﱢﻲ‬
‫ﺑﹺﺎﺑﹺﻲ ﺍﹾﻧ ﹶ‬
Extremely insufferable is my
commiserations with you; ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ُﻣﺼﹶﺎﺑﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ‬
َ‫ﻈ‬‫ﺪ َﻋ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻟ ﹶﻘ‬
so, I beseech Allah Who has honored your
position and honored me because of you ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻭَﺍ ﹾﻛ َﺮ َﻣﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻱ ﺍ ﹾﻛ َﺮ َﻡ َﻣﻘﹶﺎ َﻣ‬
‫ﻓﹶﺎ ﺳْﺎ ﹸ‬
to endue me with the chance to avenge you ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺐ ﺛﹶﺎ ﹺﺭ‬
َ ‫ﻥ َﻳ ْﺮ ﹸﺯ ﹶﻗﻨﹺﻲ ﹶﻃ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﺍ‬
with a (Divinely) supported leader from the
Household of Mu¦ammad, ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ُﻣ‬
ِ ‫ﻞ َﺑ ْﻴ‬
‫ﻦ ﺍ ْﻫ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻊ ﹺﺇﻣَﺎ ﹴﻡ َﻣ ﹾﻨﺼﹸﻮ ﹴﺭ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫َﻣ‬
peace of Allah be upon him and his
Household. ‫ﺻ ﱠﻠﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
‫ﹶ‬

O Allah, (please) make me illustrious in
Your sight ‫ﻙ َﻭﺟﹺﻴﻬ ﹰﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ﺟ َﻌ ﹾﻠﻨﹺﻲ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
ْ ‫ﻢﭐ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
in the name of al-°usayn, peace be upon
him, in this world and in the Hereafter. ‫ﺧ َﺮ ِﺓ‬
ِ ‫ﺪﹾﻧﻴَﺎ ﻭَﭐﻵ‬
‫ﻼ ُﻡ ﻓِﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﻦ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ‬
O Ab£-`Abdull¡h, ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺍﺑَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
I do seek nearness to Allah, to His
Messenger, ‫ﺏ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ َﺭﺳُﻮِﻟ ِﻪ‬
ُ ‫ﹺﺇﻧﱢﻲ ﺍ ﹶﺗ ﹶﻘ ﱠﺮ‬
to the Commander of the Faithful, to
F¡§imah, ‫ﻦ َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﻓﹶﺎ ِﻃ َﻤ ﹶﺔ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﺍ ﻣِﻴ ﹺﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﺆ ِﻣﻨﹺﻴ‬
to al-°asan, and to you by means of loyalty
to you ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻻِﺗ‬
‫ﻚ ﹺﺑ ُﻤﻮَﺍ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻦ َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
and by means of repudiation of those who
fought against you ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﻗﹶﺎﹶﺗ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ َﺒﺮَﺍ َﺀ ِﺓ ) ِﻣ ﱠﻤ‬
and incurred your hostility, ‫ﺏ‬
َ ‫ﺤ ْﺮ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
َ ‫ﺐ ﹶﻟ‬
َ ‫ﺼ‬
‫َﻭﹶﻧ ﹶ‬
and repudiation of those who laid the basis
of persecution and wronging against you all. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺠ ْﻮ ﹺﺭ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻈ ﹾﻠ ﹺ‬
‫ﺱ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
َ ‫ﺲ ﺍ ﺳَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺳ‬
‫ﻦﺍ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ َﺒﺮَﺍ َﺀ ِﺓ ِﻣ ﱠﻤ‬
I also repudiate, in the presence of Allah
and His Messenger, (ِ‫ﻭَﺍْﺑﺮَﺍ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ َﺭﺳُﻮِﻟﻪ‬
those who laid the basis of all that, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺱ ﺫِٰﻟ‬
َ ‫ﺲ ﺍ ﺳَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺳ‬
‫ﻦﺍ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ِﻣ ﱠﻤ‬
established their foundations on it, ‫َﻭَﺑ ﹶﻨﻰٰ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ُﺑ ﹾﻨﻴَﺎﹶﻧ ُﻪ‬
and continued in wronging and persecuting
you and your adherents. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺷﻴَﺎ ِﻋ ﹸ‬
‫ﻢ ﻭَﻋﻠﻰٰ ﺍ ﹾ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺟ ْﻮ ﹺﺭ ِﻩ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺟ َﺮﻯٰ ﻓِﻲ ﹸﻇ ﹾﻠ ِﻤ ِﻪ َﻭ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
In the presence of Allah and you all do I
repudiate these. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ ُﻬ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺖ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫َﺑ ﹺﺮﹾﺋ ﹸ‬
And I seek nearness to Allah and then to you
all ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻢ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﺏ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﹸﺛ ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ﻭَﺍ ﹶﺗ ﹶﻘ ﱠﺮ‬
by means of declaring loyalty to you and to
your loyalists ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻻ ِﺓ َﻭِﻟ ﱢﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﻢ َﻭ ُﻣﻮَﺍ ﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻻِﺗ ﹸ‬
‫ﹺﺑ ُﻤﻮَﺍ ﹶ‬
and declaring repudiation of your enemies ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﺍ ْﻋﺪَﺍِﺋ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ َﺒﺮَﺍ َﺀ ِﺓ ِﻣ‬
and those who incur animosity of you ‫ﺏ‬
َ ‫ﺤ ْﺮ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
ُ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﹶﻟ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺻﺒﹺﻴ‬
ِ ‫ﻭَﭐﻟﻨﱠﺎ‬
and repudiation of their adherents and
followers. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﻭَﺍ ﹾﺗﺒَﺎ ِﻋ ﹺﻬ‬
ْ ‫ﺷﻴَﺎ ِﻋ ﹺﻬ‬
‫ﻦﺍ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ َﺒﺮَﺍ َﺀ ِﺓ ِﻣ‬
I am verily at peace with those who have
been at peace with you, ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﺳَﺎﹶﻟ َﻤ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ِﻟ َﻤ‬
ٌ ‫ﺳ ﹾﻠ‬
ِ ‫ﹺﺇﻧﱢﻲ‬
I am at war against those who fought
against you, ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﺣَﺎ َﺭَﺑ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺏ ِﻟ َﻤ‬
ٌ ‫ﺣ ْﺮ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬

loyalist to those who have been loyalist to
you, ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻻ ﹸﻛ‬
‫ﻦ ﻭَﺍ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻲ ِﻟ َﻤ‬
‫َﻭ َﻭِﻟ ﱞ‬
and enemy of those who have shown enmity
towards you. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﻋَﺎﺩَﺍ ﹸﻛ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ﱞﻭ ِﻟ َﻤ‬
ُ ‫َﻭ َﻋ‬
So, I beseech Allah Who has endued me with
the honor of recognizing you ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻱ ﺍ ﹾﻛ َﺮ َﻣﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ َﻤ ْﻌ ﹺﺮ ﹶﻓ ِﺘ ﹸ‬
‫ﻓﹶﺎ ﺳْﺎ ﹸ‬
and recognizing your loyalists ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫َﻭ َﻣ ْﻌ ﹺﺮ ﹶﻓ ِﺔ ﺍ ْﻭِﻟﻴَﺎِﺋ ﹸ‬
and Who conferred upon me with
repudiation of your enemies, ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻦ ﺍ ْﻋﺪَﺍِﺋ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻲ ﭐﹾﻟ َﺒﺮَﺍ َﺀ ﹶﺓ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫َﻭ َﺭ ﹶﺯ ﹶﻗ ﹺﻨ‬
to include me with you in this world and in
the Hereafter ‫ﺧ َﺮ ِﺓ‬
ِ ‫ﺪﹾﻧﻴَﺎ ﻭَﭐﻵ‬
‫ﻢ ﻓِﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺠ َﻌ ﹶﻠﻨﹺﻲ َﻣ َﻌ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻥ َﻳ‬
ْ ‫ﺍ‬
and to make firm step of honesty for me
with you ‫ﻕ‬
‫ﺪﹴ‬ْ‫ﺻ‬
ِ ‫ﺪ َﻡ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻗ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ﹸﻛ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﻟِﻲ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
‫ﻥ ُﻳ ﹶﺜ ﱢﺒ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺍ‬
in this world and in the Hereafter. ‫ﺧ َﺮ ِﺓ‬
ِ ‫ﺪﹾﻧﻴَﺎ ﻭَﭐﻵ‬
‫ﻓِﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
I also beseech Him to make me attain the
praiseworthy status that you enjoy with
Allah
‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺤﻤُﻮ َﺩ ﹶﻟ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻲ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤﻘﹶﺎ َﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ُﻳ َﺒ ﱢﻠ ﹶﻐ ﹺﻨ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺍ ﺳْﺎﹸﻟ ُﻪ ﺍ‬
and to bestow upon me with the chance to
take my own vengeance ‫ﺐ ﺛﹶﺎﺭﹺﻱ‬
َ ‫ﻥ َﻳ ْﺮ ﹸﺯ ﹶﻗﻨﹺﻲ ﹶﻃ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺍ‬
with a leader of true guidance who is
(Divinely) sustained ‫ﻊ ﹺﺇﻣَﺎ ﹺﻡ ﻫُﺪﻯًٰ ﻇﹶﺎ ِﻫ ﹴﺮ‬
َ ‫َﻣ‬
and expressing the truth from among you. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻖ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ ﹸ‬
‫ﺤ ﱢ‬
َ ‫ﻖ ﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻧﹶﺎ ِﻃ ﹴ‬
I also beseech Allah in your names ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺤ ﱢﻘ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ ﹺﺑ‬
‫ﻭَﺍ ﺳْﺎ ﹸ‬
and in the name of the standing that you
enjoy with Him ‫ﺪ ُﻩ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻥ ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻱ ﹶﻟ ﹸ‬
ِ ‫َﻭﺑﹺﭑﻟﺸﱠﺎ‬
to recompense me for my commiserations
for you ‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﻄ َﻴﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ ُﻤﺼﹶﺎﺑﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
ِ ‫ﻥ ُﻳ ْﻌ‬
ْ ‫ﺍ‬
with the most favorite thing that He ever
gives as compensation for misfortunes that
has afflicted anyone.
‫ﻞ ﻣَﺎ ُﻳ ْﻌﻄِﻲ ُﻣﺼﹶﺎﺑ ﹰﺎ ﹺﺑ ُﻤﺼِﻴ َﺒ ِﺘ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻀ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍ ﹾﻓ ﹶ‬
(Your) misfortune has been so astounding ‫ﻈ َﻤﻬَﺎ‬
‫ُﻣﺼِﻴ َﺒ ﹰﺔ ﻣَﺎ ﺍ ْﻋ ﹶ‬
and so catastrophic for Islam ‫ﻼ ﹺﻡ‬
‫ﺳﹶ‬
ْ‫ﻹ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ َﺭ ﹺﺯﱠﻳ ﹶﺘﻬَﺎ ﻓِﻲ ﭐ‬
َ‫ﻈ‬‫ﻭَﺍ ْﻋ ﹶ‬
and for all the heavens and the entire earth. ‫ﺽ‬
‫ﺕ ﻭَﭐﻻ ْﺭ ﹺ‬
ِ ‫ﺴﻤَﺎﻭَﺍ‬
‫ﻊ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
‫ﺟﻤِﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫َﻭﻓِﻲ‬
O Allah, (please) make me in this situation
of mine ‫ﺟ َﻌ ﹾﻠﻨﹺﻲ ﻓِﻲ َﻣﻘﹶﺎﻣِﻲ ﻫٰﺬﹶﺍ‬
ْ ‫ﻢﭐ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬

one of those who receive blessings, mercy,
and forgiveness from You. ‫ﺣ َﻤ ﹲﺔ َﻭ َﻣ ﹾﻐ ِﻔ َﺮ ﹲﺓ‬
ْ ‫ﺕ َﻭ َﺭ‬
‫ﺻ ﹶﻠﻮَﺍ ﹲ‬
‫ﻚ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹶﺗﻨﹶﺎﹸﻟ ُﻪ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ‬
ْ ‫ِﻣ ﱠﻤ‬
O Allah, (please) make me live my lifetime
in the same way as Mu¦ammad and ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁ ﹺ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺤﻴَﺎ ُﻣ‬
ْ ‫ﻱ َﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺤﻴَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ َﻣ‬
‫ﺟ َﻌ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫ﻢﭐ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
Mu¦ammad’s Household lived
and make me die on the same principles on
which Mu¦ammad and Mu¦ammad’s ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁ ﹺ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺕ ُﻣ‬
‫َﻭ َﻣﻤَﺎﺗِﻲ َﻣﻤَﺎ ﹶ‬
Household died.

O Allah, this day ‫ﻥ ﻫٰﺬﹶﺍ َﻳ ْﻮ ٌﻡ‬

‫ﻢ ﹺﺇ ﱠ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
has been regarded as blessed day by the
descendants of Umayyah ‫ﺖ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ َﺑﻨﹸﻮ ﺍ َﻣ ﱠﻴ ﹶﺔ‬
‫ﹶﺗ َﺒ ﱠﺮ ﹶﻛ ﹾ‬
and by the son of the liver-eater woman, ‫ﻦ ﺁ ِﻛ ﹶﻠ ِﺔ ﭐﻻ ﻛﺒَﺎ ِﺩ‬
ُ ‫ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
the accursed and son of the accursed ‫ﻦ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠﻌِﻴ ﹺ‬
ُ ‫ﻦ ﭐْﺑ‬
ُ ‫ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠﻌِﻴ‬
by the tongue of You and by the tongue of
Your Prophet, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ﹶﻧ ﹺﺒ ﱢﻴ‬
ِ ‫ﻚ َﻭِﻟﺴَﺎ‬
َ ‫َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ِﻟﺴَﺎﹺﻧ‬
Allah’s peace be upon him, ‫ﺻ ﱠﻠﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
‫ﹶ‬
on every occasion and in every situation, ‫ﻒ‬
ٍ ‫ﻦ َﻭ َﻣ ْﻮ ِﻗ‬
‫ﻞ َﻣ ْﻮ ِﻃ ﹴ‬
‫ﻓِﻲ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
which Your Prophet, Allah’s peace be upon
him, attended. ‫ﺻ ﱠﻠﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻚ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻒ ﻓِﻴ ِﻪ ﹶﻧ ﹺﺒ ﱡﻴ‬
َ ‫َﻭ ﹶﻗ‬
O Allah, pour curses upon Ab£-Sufy¡n,
Mu`¡wiyah, and Yaz¢d son of Mu`¡wiyah. ‫ﻦ ُﻣﻌَﺎ ﹺﻭَﻳ ﹶﺔ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻥ َﻭ ُﻣﻌَﺎ ﹺﻭَﻳ ﹶﺔ َﻭﻳَﺰﻳ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ﹾﻔﻴَﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﻦ ﺍﺑَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
May Your curse be upon them incessantly
and everlastingly. ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﭐﻵﹺﺑﺪِﻳ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ْﻌ ﹶﻨ ﹸﺔ ﺍَﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ‬
ْ ‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹺﻬ‬
This is the day on which the family of Ziy¡d
and the family of Marw¡n gloated ‫ﻥ‬
َ ‫ﻝ َﻣ ْﺮﻭَﺍ‬
‫ﻝ ﹺﺯﻳَﺎ ٍﺩ ﻭَﺁ ﹸ‬
‫ﺖ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﺁ ﹸ‬
‫ﺣ ﹾ‬
َ ‫َﻭﻫٰﺬﹶﺍ َﻳ ْﻮ ٌﻡ ﹶﻓ ﹺﺮ‬
because they had killed al-°usayn, Allah’s
blessings be upon him. ‫ﺕ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺻ ﹶﻠﻮَﺍ ﹸ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺴ ْﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
ُ ‫ﹺﺑ ﹶﻘ ﹾﺘ ِﻠ ﹺﻬ‬
So, O Allah, pour frequent curses upon them ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ْﻌ‬
ُ ‫ﻒ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹺﻬ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻓﻀﹶﺎ ِﻋ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
and double for them the painful
chastisement. (َ‫ﺏ )ﭐﻻﻟِﻴﻢ‬
َ ‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ َﻌﺬﹶﺍ‬
O Allah, I do seek nearness to You on this
day, ‫ﻚ ﻓِﻲ ﻫٰﺬﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻴ ْﻮ ﹺﻡ‬
َ ‫ﺏ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺇﻧﱢﻲ ﺍ ﹶﺗ ﹶﻘ ﱠﺮ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
on this occasion, ‫َﻭﻓِﻲ َﻣ ْﻮ ِﻗﻔِﻲ ﻫٰﺬﹶﺍ‬
and on all the days of my lifetime, ‫ﺣﻴَﺎﺗِﻲ‬
َ ‫ﻭَﺍ ﻳﱠﺎ ﹺﻡ‬
by repudiating these and invoking Your
curses upon them, ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﻭَﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ْﻌ ﹶﻨ ِﺔ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹺﻬ‬
ْ ‫ﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ َﺒﺮَﺍ َﺀ ِﺓ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ ُﻬ‬

and by declaring loyalty to Your Prophet
and Your Prophet’s Household, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ﹶﻧ ﹺﺒ ﱢﻴ‬
‫ﻚ ﻭَﺁ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻻ ِﺓ ِﻟ ﹶﻨ ﹺﺒ ﱢﻴ‬
‫َﻭﺑﹺﭑﹾﻟ ُﻤﻮَﺍ ﹶ‬
peace be upon him and them. ‫ﻼ ُﻡ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
ُ ‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹺﻬ‬
You may then repeat the following words one hundred times:

O Allah, pour curses upon the foremost persecutor

‫ﻢ‬
‫ﻝ ﻇﹶﺎِﻟ ﹴ‬
‫ﻦ ﺍ ﱠﻭ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
who usurped the right of Mu¦ammad and Mu¦ammad’s
Household ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁ ﹺ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻖ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺣ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻢ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻇ ﹶﻠ‬
and the last follower who acceded to his deed. ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﹶﻟ ُﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺫِٰﻟ‬
‫ﺧ َﺮ ﺗﹶﺎﹺﺑ ﹴ‬
ِ ‫ﻭَﺁ‬
O Allah, pour curses upon the gang that struggled against
‫ﻦ ﭐﹾﻟ ِﻌﺼﹶﺎَﺑ ﹶﺔ ﭐﱠﻟﺘِﻲ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ ﹺ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
al-°usayn
‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺴ ْﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﺕ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
ِ ‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ﺟَﺎ َﻫ‬
and who supported each other against him, paid homage to
ٰ‫ﺖ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬
‫ﺖ َﻭﺗﹶﺎَﺑ َﻌ ﹾ‬
‫ﺖ َﻭﺑَﺎَﻳ َﻌ ﹾ‬
‫َﻭﺷﹶﺎَﻳ َﻌ ﹾ‬
his enemies, and participated in slaying him.
‫ﹶﻗ ﹾﺘ ِﻠ ِﻪ‬
O Allah, pour curses upon all of them. ‫ﺟﻤِﻴﻌ ﹰﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ ﹾﻨ ُﻬ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
You may then repeat the following words one hundred times:

Peace be upon you, O Ab£-`Abdull¡h

‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﺍ ﺑَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬
‫ﺖ‬
‫ﺣ ﱠﻠ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﺡ ﭐﱠﻟﺘِﻲ‬
‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﭐﻻ ْﺭﻭَﺍ ﹺ‬
and upon the souls that gathered in your courtyard.

‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﹺﺑ ِﻔﻨﹶﺎِﺋ‬
Peace of Allah be upon you from me forever
‫ﻼ ُﻡ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﺍ ﺑَﺪﹰﺍ‬
‫ﺳﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ِﻣﻨﱢﻲ‬
َ ‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
as long as I am existent and as long as there are day
and night. ‫ﻞ ﻭَﭐﻟ ﱠﻨﻬَﺎ ُﺭ‬
‫ﻲ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺖ َﻭَﺑ ِﻘ‬
‫ﻣَﺎ ﺑَﻘﻴ ﹸ‬
May Allah not cause this (visit) to be the last of my visit
‫ﺪ ِﻣﻨﱢﻲ‬
ِ ‫ﺧ َﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ ْﻬ‬
ِ ‫ﺟ َﻌ ﹶﻠ ُﻪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﺁ‬
َ ‫ﻻ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
to you (all).
‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ِﻟ ﹺﺰﻳَﺎ َﺭِﺗ ﹸ‬
Peace be upon al-°usayn, ‫ﻦ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﻼ ُﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠ‬

upon `Al¢ ibn al-°usayn, ‫ﻦ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﻦ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻲ ْﺑ ﹺ‬
‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ َﻋ ِﻠ ﱢ‬
upon the sons of al-°usayn,
‫ﻦ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﻻ ِﺩ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺍ ْﻭ ﹶ‬
and upon the companions of al-°usayn.
‫ﻦ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﺏ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﺻﺤَﺎ ﹺ‬
‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺍ ﹾ‬
You may then say the following words:
O Allah, pour special curses
on the foremost persecutor ‫ﻦ ِﻣﻨﱢﻲ‬
‫ﻢ ﺑﹺﭑﻟ ﱠﻠ ْﻌ ﹺ‬
‫ﻝ ﻇﹶﺎِﻟ ﹴ‬
‫ﺖ ﺍ ﱠﻭ ﹶ‬
‫ﺺ ﺍﹾﻧ ﹶ‬
‫ﺧ ﱠ‬
‫ﻢ ﹸ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
and begin with him first, ‫ﻻ‬
‫ﻭَﭐْﺑﺪَﺍ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﺍ ﱠﻭ ًﹶ‬
and then pour curses on the
second, the third, and the
fourth.
‫ﻊ‬
َ ‫ﺚ ﻭَﭐﻟﺮﱠﺍﹺﺑ‬
‫ﻲ ﻭَﭐﻟﺜﱠﺎِﻟ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟﺜﱠﺎﹺﻧ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ ﹺ‬
‫ﹸﺛ ﱠ‬
O Allah, curse Yaz¢d fifthly, ‫ﺪ ﺧﹶﺎﻣِﺴ ﹰﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻦ َﻳﺰﹺﻳ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
and curse `Ubaydull¡h ibn
Ziy¡d, the son of Marj¡nah, ‫ﻦ َﻣ ْﺮﺟَﺎﹶﻧ ﹶﺔ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹺﺯﻳَﺎ ٍﺩ ﻭَﭐْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ْﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ُﻋ َﺒ ْﻴ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ‬
`Umar ibn Sa`d, Shimr, ‫ﺷﻤْﺮﹰﺍ‬
ِ ‫ﺪ َﻭ‬
ٍ ‫ﺳ ْﻌ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫َﻭ ُﻋ َﻤ َﺮ ْﺑ‬
the family of Ab£-Sufy¡n,
the family of Ziy¡d, and the
family of Marw¡n
‫ﻥ‬
َ ‫ﻝ َﻣ ْﺮﻭَﺍ‬
‫ﻝ ﹺﺯﻳَﺎ ٍﺩ ﻭَﺁ ﹶ‬
‫ﻥ ﻭَﺁ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ﹾﻔﻴَﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﻝ ﺍﺑﹺﻲ‬
‫ﻭَﺁ ﹶ‬
up to the Resurrection Day. ‫ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ َﻳ ْﻮ ﹺﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ ِﻘﻴَﺎ َﻣ ِﺔ‬
You may then prostrate yourself and say the following words meanwhile:

O Allah, all praise be to You; ‫ﺪ‬

ُ ‫ﺤ ْﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻟ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
the praise of those who thank You for
their misfortunes. ‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣﺼﹶﺎﹺﺑ ﹺﻬ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹶﻟ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﭐﻟﺸﱠﺎ ِﻛﺮﹺﻳ‬
َ ‫ﺣ ْﻤ‬
َ
All praise be to Allah for my great
misfortune. ‫ﻢ َﺭ ﹺﺯﱠﻳﺘِﻲ‬
‫ﺪ ِﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ َﻋﻈِﻴ ﹺ‬
ُ ‫ﺤ ْﻤ‬
َ ‫ﹶﺍﹾﻟ‬
O Allah, (please) grant me the ‫ﻦ َﻳ ْﻮ َﻡ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﺷﻔﹶﺎ َﻋ ﹶﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐ ْﺭ ﹸﺯ ﹾﻗﻨﹺﻲ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
intercession of al-°usayn on the Day
of Coming (to You)
‫ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻮﺭُﻭ ِﺩ‬
and make for me with You a firm step
of honesty ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ﻕ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
‫ﺪﹴ‬ْ‫ﺻ‬
ِ ‫ﺪ َﻡ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﻟِﻲ ﹶﻗ‬
‫َﻭﹶﺛ ﱢﺒ ﹾ‬
with al-°usayn and the companions of
al-°usayn ‫ﻦ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﺏ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﺻﺤَﺎ ﹺ‬
‫ﻦ ﻭَﺍ ﹾ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﻊ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
َ ‫َﻣ‬
who sacrificed their souls in ‫ﻦ‬
‫ﺴ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﻥ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﺩُﻭ‬
ْ ‫ﺠ ُﻬ‬
َ ‫ﺬﻟﹸﻮﭐ ُﻣ َﻬ‬
‫ﻦ َﺑ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﭐﻟﱠﺬﻳ‬
defense of al-°usayn, peace be
upon him. ‫ﻼ ُﻡ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
