PRO/II Process Engineering Silent Install

The PRO/II 10.2 silent install does not install its dependencies. Therefore, you must make sure that
these dependencies are installed before doing the silent install of PRO/II 10.2. Below are the commands
to silently install the PRO/II 10. 2 dependencies and PRO/II 10. 2. Note that the [PRO/II 10.2 setup folder]
below is where the P RO/ II 10.2 install setup.exe is and the whole path must be surrounded by double
quotes if it contains a space.

Silently install PRO/II 10.2 dependencies

1. Install .NE T 4.0 (Mandatory)

NOTE: RefPropAddonS etup.exe does not support Silent install. It should be installed separately from the
above path.

Silently install PRO/II 10.2

Install options
1. INSTALLDIR - PRO/ II 10.2 Install location (default: C:\Program files\SIMSCI). Use double quotes
around the path if it contains a space. Example: INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\SimSci"
2. SECURITY_TYPE - PRO/II 10. 2 security type, such as USB, FNP1111, FNP1112, FNP 1113,
FNP1114, TKN1111, TKN1112, TK N1113 or TK N1114 (default: FNP1113). Example:
SECURITY_TYPE=FNP1113
3. IPASSI_LICENSE_FILE - FLE Xlm/ TOKEN license manager (default: none). No need to specify
this if you are going to use USB for security. Example:
IPASSI_LICENSE_LICENSE_FILE=@FLEXlmServer
4. QUICK_LAUNCH_ICON – Option to create a quick launch icon (default: not create). To create the
icon, use QUICK_LAUNCH_ICON=1
5. DESKTOP_ICON – Option to create a desktop icon (default: create). To not create the icon, use
DESKTOP_ICON=""
6. ADDLOCAL – to specify what PRO/II 10.2 features to install. If this option is not used in the PRO/II
10.2 silent install, the program will install CommonRequired, SIM4MEPortal, UAS and PDTS.
Features that can be specified include OPC_UAServer and Translator.
Note that unless ADDLOCAL=ALL is used, feature CommonRequired must always be included in the
list when using the ADDLOCAL option.
Examples: To install all features, use
ADDLOCAL=ALL

ADDLOCAL=CommonRequired,SIM4MEPortal,UAS,PDTS,OPC_UAServer,Translator

The command above us es FNP1113 for security, installs PRO/II 10.2 to C: \Program Files\SimSci, does
not create the desktop icon, creates the quick launch icon, and us es machi ne FNP1113S erver for the
FNP1113 security. It also installs OPC_UAServer and Translator.
