Part B
1. How many answered: For me the Church is a:
2 - the building/edifice/structure
2 - house of prayer/worship IIII
0 - the place where I can meet God
1 - place where people gather
3 - temple of the Holy Spirit
2 - the people III
0 - we are the church II
0 - Pope, bishops and priests
2. The church is still relevant:
10 – Yes
3. The church is important because:

a. The church is important because it’s a place where the people of God gather to
worship Him in spirit and in truth. And a place where people can meditate the
goodness of God as well as a place where people can find peace, healing,
deliverance and joy.
b. Church is important for those who have trusted God to assemble together. We do
this to encourage one another, and for the purpose of receiving teaching and
worship. Assembling ourselves together is also something that is commanded by
God.
c. Churches are still relevant even up to this time because it is the place where formal
conversation with Christ is happening. In this place, we can have and feel the real
connection between ourselves to Jesus. And it doesn't mean that you are going to
church, you are already holy or perfect. Church is the place where we go to, to learn
more things about Jesus and our purposes in life. Therefore, churches are still
relevant and significant for us to be closer to Jesus Christ; and so that we will never
forget that we all need our Savior.
d. It plays a major part in the people's day to day life especially the poor where the
church helps the people constantly to love life.
e. It is important because it’s the place where we want to give thanks and ask
forgiveness to the Lord.
f. Through church we learn the words of God and we became good by enhancing our
spirits
g. We can be saved if we have a strong faith in God.
h. It is where we can feel in our innermost selves the presence of our Almighty Father.
It is only in church where we can find inner peace and serenity.
i. The church influences the value system of a society; it is through the Church that
God’s love is shared to the world.
j. It is a place that I can experience; acceptance, love, fellowship, learning,
discipleship and a place I can express freely my praise and worship to God
surrounded by like believers. Church is not the building but the people inside the
building who love Jesus and want to serve Him.

Part B
Baptism is the one sacrament that all Christian denominations share in common. In the
Catholic Church, infants are baptized to welcome them into the Catholic faith and to free them
from the original sin they were born with. And as I went to the Church and witnessed a baptism
ceremony, I can see the excitement and happiness in the eyes of the parents as their child will be
free from sin.
I. Why are you in church today?
II. What is the meaning for you of your (the) child’s baptism?
III. Are you happy for your (the) child? Why?
IV. How would your family celebrate your (the) child’s baptism?

1.
I. To give thanks to the Lord for He has given us blessing in our life every day.
II. The meaning of baptism of my child for me is welcoming him in the Christian
community and be part of it as a believer of God also.
III. Of course, I am happy because my child was blessed with God's unconditional
love and grace.
IV. I would celebrate it with the whole family, friends and acquaintances by a
gathering and have a meal together as a symbol of enveloping my child with love
and care from us.

2.
I. To baptize my child.
II. Child's baptism is about dedicating my beloved child to the one and only Creator.
III. I'm more that blessed and joyful for my child because baptism serves as the first
stepping stone for my child to know God.
IV. We celebrate baptism like the usual way of celebrating other occasion such as
birthdays. We eat, we give souvenirs, we sang songs, we give words of wisdom,
etc.
