This study was aimed to determine if there is a significant difference between the mean
level of stress among Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners and to identify what type of
stressors contributes the most to the student’s stress level. The research was carried out
be discussing only one major variable which is the level of stress. A total of (N=100)
participants were selected from Our Lady of Fatima University each comprising of 50
Grade 11 and 50 Grade 12 learners using quota sampling technique with the help of a
screening tool. A survey is conducted using Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) and Sources of
Stress table as the primary data gathering tool. The results reveals that Grade 11 learners
accumulate a mean of 19.44 while Grade 12 learners had a mean of 21.82. This implies
that the mean level of stress of Grade 12 learners surpass the mean level of stress of
Grade 11 learners. Since the t-value (t=0.57) obtained is higher than the cut-off of 0.05,
significant difference between the mean level of stress among Grade 11 and Grade 12
learners. The primary source of stress among students is the fear of failing examinations
and meeting parent’s expectations and these produced a moderate level of stress. A more
extent sample size and using another type of data gathering tool is recommended to
