In the month of March I had the opportunity to learn, assist and to take part in the following activities:

- Taking part during preparation of cargo holds after discharging steel coils/ plates in Antwerp Belgium,
sweeping , remove cargo residue, drying of bilges , collect cargo residue on deck , hold to be ready for
next cargo of scrap from Dordrecht & Rotterdam, Netherland to Aliaga Turkey;
- Taking part in port watch during discharging of steel coils and plates in Antwerp Belgium, loading of
scrap in Dordrecht and Rotterdam Netherland/ discharge scrap in Aliaga, Turkey , monitor loading/
discharging operation, observe crane operation;
- Participate with all crew for regular cleaning of accommodation quarters;
- Inspection of fire boxes including hydrants – nozzle – hose – key & box;
- Taking part of security watch , gangway watch , complete visitor & deck operation log
- Preparation of vessel gangway in accordance with SOLAS requirements , adjust arrangements in
respect to the prevailing level of tide;
- Participating in preparing pilot boarding arrangement , either single pilot ladder or using combination
access ( detailed report prepared accordingly );
- Participating in mooring station aft for all docking & undocking;
- Participate in regular weekly & monthly inspection & maintenance of life saving appliances;
- Familiarizing with documents prepared by third mate;
- Taking part on navigational watch , practice all OOW assigned duties , COLREG , navigation ,
positioning , plotting of targets , logbook entries & handling GMDSS traffic;
- Participate in regular training conducted for LSA appliances & firefighting;
