Define the scope:

Set the project cost and number of free edits included upfront
Pay per ebook (project cost) not hourly unless it is for out of scope
edits
Request they include a hypercover graphic, not just the .pdf
Define turnaround time (1-3 days is standard depending on their
schedule)

Get Specific:

Request the ebook be made in Adobe-In Design (not Photoshop)

Request original working files (.indd)
A4 size (210x297mm)
