Recommendation:

ACA 1: Connection to various local government departments and


institutions that deals with civil and human rights.

Theory: Theory of Public Enforcement of Law

-Problems and complications are always present with every


companies. Nothing can hinder it as the factors triggering it to happen
are often hard to detect and could be unstoppable. Mostly, employees
are the one who are being greatly affected by the issues and problems
that the company is facing. In the case of Uber, a service providing
company, their employees are experiencing misbehavior and unethical
actions from their clients. Employees are trying to reach it out to the
management of the company but no actions are being sent back for
their complains. Employees are always concerned not only with their
status inside the company, but also with their safety in and out.

Since the problem is about the negligence of the company for the
employees’ concerns, connection to higher departments outside the
company is the best way to employ. The company has the responsibility
to take care of their employees, listen to them, and to protect their
rights at all cost. If the company fails to fulfill their job, employees
should have the option and the power to communicate with various
local government departments or institutions that deals with Civil and
Human rights just like the Commission on Human Rights (CHR).
Commission on Human Rights has the primary duty of protecting
Human rights, detecting all forms of Human rights violations and
provide a proper appropriate legal measures as an action to it. By
having a connection with this kind of local department, the rights of the
employees will not only be protected but might as well sanction those
who will try to violate it. CHR could also enforce or a file a legal action
towards companies who will not lend their ears for their employees’
concerns.

ACTION PLAN:

Having a direct connection towards local government


departments could be difficult especially for employees as most of
them lacks of knowledge about it. Another reason why could it be hard
for them to reach out with the other departments is for the reason that
employees thinks that they’re only subordinates and doesn’t have the
power to talk or communicate with Local Government departments
which they think are in a higher-level compare to them.

For this Course of Action to be possible, the following


actions/programs may enforce:

 Inform them about several institutions or departments that


deals with Civil and Human rights. Provide them certain
information about it like Contact number, email address and
location so that employees may easily approach them.
 Provide seminars to be conducted by Local Government
Departments like CHR and DOLE (Department of Labor and
Employment) so that employees may be informed about
what these departments can do for them in case they will
experience violations against their rights as employees and
individuals.
 Improve employees communication skills and train them to
speak-up for themselves.
 Inform them about the existing laws regarding Job
employment, employees and their rights. In this way, the
risk of employees taking advantage in this action may also
be prevented as they will be aware as well with the legal
sanctions the law may punish them if they will find out that
the complainant is just defaming the company.
